Red Mountain Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Manitou Springs

Ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, it was terrible!! The noodles were hard and undercooked and the sauce was cold, it was like they took the sauce out of the refrigerator and poured it over the cold noodles. I told the waitress and she asked if I’d like it recooked and I said no, I didn’t want to chance it at this point. A manager came in and we could hear her talking to him about the meal, she then came over and told me she took it off of the bill. Gee, thanks, I wasn’t able to eat it, so yes, I shouldn’t pay for it. The manager never acknowledged us or never came over to talk to us. The waitress apologized and said she felt the food and saw how cold it was and told the cook that he couldn’t serve food like that and it was unacceptable. We told her it wasn’t her fault, but I didn’t understand how he thought it was okay to serve that to someone. She was very apologetic. Decent food, terrible service. We went on a Saturday night, (party of 4) and wanted to sit on the patio. We requested the waitress turn on the fireplace for us. She said "this is a really old building with no a/c and the fireplace makes it hot inside." (We're all from the area and know about the history of the building-also, there were no patrons inside-just her)One of our party has celiac disease and is highly allergic to gluten. She had called ahead and was told anything on the menu could be made gluten free (which is why we chose this place). The waitress told her that she could have a green salad or a bunless burger. She also told my friend she'd need to take the cheese off the burger. (There's no gluten in cheese). The food was decent, but once delivered, our server never came back to the table. We needed water and an order of fries looked like they hadn't been cooked at all. We had put in a later order for poutine, but after 15 minutes asked for it to go. Definitely won't go back...

It is not often that I leave a bad review because I prefer to just not say anything if it's not nice, but I have to warn people. Don't waste your money! I was genuinely impressed with how awful the food was. My husband's steak looked and tasted like it was from a kid's plastic kitchen set. It was $38 and came with some sad iceberg lettuce and soggy fries. My fish and chips smelled bad, didn't come with lemon, the tartar sauce was just mayo and tartar (no relish or anything) and I had to remind them to bring me coleslaw which ended up just being cabbage with vinegar. Nothing had salt, pepper, or any seasoning on it. Our server was polite but very slow and didn't check on us much. My husband, our friends, and myself all had upset stomachs after eating here.
