This particular location is terrible. Their shelves are a mess to the degree that you canât find products. I found one product that had been replaced in the wrong packaging, very likely by the store, as it had been taped shut again (silicone or latex swim cap in the packaging for a Lycra one).
When I asked if they had any swim/camp towels, the associate asked another associate if they had any âcamp or beach towels.â (They are very, very different things, camp/swim towels are small and hyper absorbent, and in my experience, never stocked near beach towels) I was informed âwe donât have any towels.â After searching for another fifteen minutes on my own, I found two different types of camp towels (as well as golf and yoga towels, which isnât the same thing either but definitely belies the statement âwe donât have towelsâ).
When I went to check out, I gave the associate the wrongly repackaged item telling them it was incorrectly packaged. I had to explain several times and am pretty sure he tossed it in the âto be reshelvedâ bin. (Iâm pretty sure it was a silicone cap, but if it was a latex one and someone with a latex allergy opened what they assumed was a Lycra cap?).
When I told the associate that I had been told they didnât have towels and spent a bunch of time finding them without help. He just said âoh, okay,â
Go literally anywhere else if you have the choice. REI is in the same strip. In retrospect I should have paid what I assumed would be a slightly higher price at REI, it would have been worth it. To have completed my trip in the 20 minutes it should have taken, instead of the 45 minutes it actually took.
Worst retail experience Iâve had in a long time. Now I know why they...
Read moreThe absolute worst in customer service. It wasn't for lack of employees. There were so many of them but none of them offered to help as I walked to the shoe dept. with my 4 kids. The guy that did help took a long time to help, but when he did provided me one of the worst experiences I've had in retail. He measured my son's foot wrong, grabbed a pair of indoor soccer shoes that were guaranteed not to fit, and then left us without any follow up. Finally just left the shoes there and walked out as he didn't bother to follow up to see if they fit or if we needed anything.
I will call the store tomorrow to make sure this guy made it home alright. I am hoping there is someone responsible that can open the front door for him and make sure he gets into bed. This sounds snarky but I really am concerned for his welfare. If you can't measure a foot correctly and you work in the shoe dept., maybe you should do something else instead like get carts from the...
Read moreI went in to buy new running shoes. I havenât purchased running shoes in years. The young girl employee had no idea what shoes to look at. I had questions about shoes best for plantar fasciitis and a good arch. She just pointed me to the running shoes. I asked her if she knew anything about running shoes and she said â I normally work in a different department.â I asked for a manager. He was more helpful, but, didnât bother to help me with the correct shoe size. I measured my own foot . I did buy a pair. At check out I paid and left. At home I realized she didnât take off the sensor from the shoe. I had to go back to have it removed. Now my feet are numb at the toes. Iâm going to take them back. Iâm looking at going to a store where they actually help you fit shoes. I...
