Do yourself a favor and don’t go to this store, go to the Hampton village one instead. I went into this one wanting to upgrade my Apple Watch to the newest one, midway through, the manager helping me, Dino, decided to leave because his shift ended and had one of his employees who was clueless finish everything. They were having trouble turning off my find my iPhone to trade the old watch in, but i figured it out. He kept telling me it wasn’t working and told me he would call me as he would check periodically to see. So I left. He didn’t call.
I called once I 100% knew it was off, and he lied over the phone saying it wasn’t working still. They also tried opening a new line for the new watch and having me cancel the old one instead of upgrading like they should do. I used to work for a major cell phone competitor and this is called churn, where you open a new line to make your numbers look good and have the customer cancel the old line when it should have been upgraded. Their numbers look better if they have new handsets go out instead of upgrades.
So I went to the Hampton Villiage store and they were able to help me no problem, and extremely nice. Afterwards, I called to see if the employee over at this store would continue to lie, but they didn’t answer the phone for 5 minutes, letting it ring, then another employee placed me on hold for 20 minutes so she could get the guy who “helped me” but after the 20 minutes on hold, it was 8:05 and they hung up on me and closed the store.
This is a disgrace, and I never write reviews for anything, but I’ve worked retail for years and this is not how business should be conducted or customers be treated. I’m writing this review to hopefully help a future customer not waste their time here and go to a...
Read moreThis is my go to TMobile store in the STL metro area. There are a couple of guys there who are really helpful and polite (the two Brandons, Nick, etc.). The problem I've seen lately is that they have a new manager who is very reluctant to come out from behind the back and interact with, much less help, the customers.
I was there on Jan. 16, 2014, and while Brandon was helping me there were at least three customers waiting to be helped. Brandon greeted each of them pleasantly and went back to request help. It took the manager about 20 minutes to come from behind the back of the store to help the waiting customers. One customer eventually left. Once he was out front, the Manager lacked the tack and training to deal with the very first customer he helped. That customer eventually left unhappy.
When I just moved to the STL area, there was another manager overseeing this store. He was always out front and visible to customers. If there was a growing throng of customers he would always appear from the back promptly.
Summation: most of the staff members are great. They are very helpful to me and my family. The current manager needs training or needs to be replaced. Since his arrival, I've seen...
Read moreOnce again Metro by T-Mobile has failed me......I tried for 2 days to get a hold of these people.....first by phone for 2 hours, with nobody answering (of course)....then I ended up having to walk the 1/2 mile up there Friday as the bus was rerouted for St Patrick's Day parade. I waited in the cold outside, called and nobody ever showed up or answered the phone . On my walk home I stopped by the Boost store and got what I needed, much cheaper than TMobile for sure! I needed a new charging cable as mine was yellow, indicating that there is a heat build up. Also needed a new case. I got exactly what I needed. I even tried emailing name that was on customer reviews.... undeliverable .....why does this not shock me? if I could give lower than 1 star review I would!!!
To the owner that responded, I beg to differ...the store on Manchester, next to Dominos was a Metro store before TMobile took over. I have purchased 2 phones from that store that represented itself as a TMobile store...the bags that I took my purchases home said TMobile on them, as did the receipts...so what's the deal? Did this location close...
