The place was really nicely decorated and the staff was very attentive. The parcha mojito was great and served in very cute boot glass, but that is the end of the niceties. The food was not great at all. unfortunately the chef did not know how to cook a medium steak. it was brought to me well done and very dry. The server apologized and they redid the dish. It again was very over cooked but i told her that at that point i was hungry and ate it anyway. i told her i would not recommend this as a steak house or aplace for syeaks. My wife ordered chicken wings and add i waited for my meal to be redone i had a wing. the wing was extremely salty. it was so bad that we thought we would end up in the hospital with high blood pressure. we again asked for them to be redone but to avoid adding salt. the servers tried the wings and agreed that they were really salty and apologized. the second set of wings were not as crispy as the salty ones. this place was recommended as a great place to eat but i had to call him to not continue to recommend it until they correct the cooking problem. For $76 meal for two it left mych to be appreciated. My wife even asked for the book glass but we were told no since they are constantly inventoried and they would be in big trouble. Managing with fear is not a good place to patron. i would not be returning since i had such a bad...
Read moreWe were looking for a place to eat in mayaguez, PR, and we were thinking barbecue. We literally turned into this place 15 seconds after it came up on the GPS. My cousin David and I, decided to share the farmers grill fest which came with an 8 inch skirt steak, an 8 inch chicken steak, half a rack of ribs and sausage. Our sides were macaroni and cheese and tostones de Pana. David suggested that I order something called, mamposteao, which is a kind of Puerto Rican fried rice.Everything was cooked to our liking, and we were pleased with every aspect of our experience. The Restaurant was celebrating 50 years of existence, and it was easy to see why they have such an excellent reputation backed up by many positive reviews. We were seated upstairs where they have tables and booths in a rooftop setting. Our server, I think her name was Gabriella, was very attentive, while also working the bar. We visited later in the week with a bigger party, and experienced the same excellent food and staff. On our second trip, I ordered the kan-kan pork chop, which is something like a tomahawk steak. Go with the regular pork...
Read moreOkay, so hear me out here. These guys are exemplary when it comes to customer service. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left the establishment the girls working there did not stop checking on us to see that everything was okay. We were a big group, around 13 of us. They did everything they could to get us on the same table, and that's just the beginning. They were very patient with the few elderlies we had with us, answering their questions and explaining really well which showed they really knew what they were working with. We started things off with cheese balls as an appetizer and we were all pleasantly surprised to find that they were absolutely delicious, then we moved onto the meals. I ordered the Baby back ribs, and those were delicious, I enjoyed every bite. My cousin ordered a tray of their famous nachos which she gave me a taste of, and they were great. And it was such a big plate of nachos that she was able to take half with her. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing restaurant. Would go again if I'm...
