Fish Furniture — Local services in Mayfield Heights

My wife and I went to shop for a mattress and met with John a salesman at the Mayfield location. His insight and knowledge was extremely helpful in picking out what we found to be the best mattress for our needs. John was not in any way pushy or high pressure, he took what I thought was an extraordinary amount of time to answer our questions and point out all the differences in materials used in every mattress we liked and those we didn't. Our experience didn't end there as we waited for our new mattress and adjustable base to be delivered. Day of delivery I received a phone call to let me know they would be here in fifteen minutes. Chad and Patrick were our delivery men and they were courteous and professional in everything they did. They took great care to make sure everything was brought in carefully without damage to the stairs, walls, or railing as they had to get that heavy base up to the bedroom with a tight turn at the top of the stairs. They then took time with me to explain just how the remote worked and some insight as to the care of the mattress. I couldn't be more happy with my experience. I went so far as to call the store and let them know my thoughts and received a call back from Dan the owner thanking me for taking the time to make that call, we chatted and it seems the desire for their customers to be pleased with their purchase weaves its way through the entire staff at Fish, it doesn't end when your receipt says...

We just took delivery of a new dining room set. Over the last 16 years, we have now purchased a total of 3 bedroom sets, 6 couches, a kitchen table set, a dining room set, a china cabinet, 4 tv consoles, 3 ottomans, and multiple chairs from Fish Furniture. Why do we go back? It starts at the top with the owner Dan Geller. Between Dan and all of his salespeople and all of his delivery guys, it is like dealing with family. They treat the customers with the utmost respect and we feel very valued. The delivery guys today immediately took off their shoes when they got into my house and treated my home and what they were delivering with the utmost care and respect. They have a bulletin board when you walk into the store and it has the names of the staff and how long they have worked there. So many of them have been there for 25-30 years! The 2 delivery guys who were there today had been there for 25 years. This is unheard of in this day and age. It is so nice to be able to support a company who not only takes care of their customers, but their staff as well. Fish only sells high quality furniture at a very fair price and they stand behind their products. I have sent countless family and friends to Fish and they have always thanked me. We are (FINALLY!) about out of areas of our house to furnish, but we will be heading back to Fish soon to purchase a...

We have been shopping at Fish Furniture at SOM and Mayfield for years. The store is locally family owned and operated -- it's great to support an independent furniture store. The owner, Dan Geller, has provided us with the best customer service ever!! He definitely knows his merchandise! The store was started by his parents or grandparents. (My friend said she bought her first couch at Fish Furniture in 1974!!) It's a large two story store with an excellent selection of furniture and mattresses too. Over the years, we've bought a beautiful and comfortable custom leather couch, side tables, mattresses and an electronic recliner, which is the best!! If you have an elderly parent, who has trouble getting in and out of a chair (standing up and down is challenging), the electronic recliner is the best find! Dan sold it to us a few years ago and now it's the only chair Mom sits in. It tilts all the way up, so it's so much easier for her to stand up from it or sit down in it because all you have to do is push the button and the chair does all the work for you. This chair has really been invaluable. Also, one of the designer/sales person did an excellent job finding the right size and color couch for my parent's family room. Everything we've purchased at Fish Furniture has held up beautifully and it's no doubt our most favorite furniture store...
