I take my disabled adult brother to this location. We are fairly new customers, as weāve only started coming here for 3 weeks, but we are regulars (1x/week). My brother gets the same order every time: decaf coffee with cream, sugar, and vanilla syrup. I havenāt had an unusual incident up until today. My brother ordered his coffee. 10 minutes go by and he still didnāt receive his coffee. Customers who ordered after us (more complicated orders) received their items before we did. I approached the counter to inquire about the coffee status, as I thought maybe they were making a fresh batch of decaf coffee. None of the employees acknowledged me standing there. I had to speak up to get the attention of one of the staff members. I inquired about the order, and she asked if it was the tall, decaf coffee. I replied yes. She then pours a fresh cup right in front of me (clearly they forgot, as they had decaf available) and handed me the black coffee. I told her that was not our order, and that my brother had other things, including syrup that we paid extra for. At this point, no sympathy in the world was given, just a look of annoyance, so I requested to speak to a supervisor. The girl points to Danni. I have to walk up to Danni, as she was in another area of the store. She didnāt approach me in any way. Danni has taken my brotherās orders in the past without incident. This time, her demeanor was different. I explained about the length of time it took to make the item, how it seemed the order was forgotten, and that the item was made incorrectly. Danni, without any emotion, stated: āyou only ordered a decaf coffee. Sometimes with these regular orders, we forget, it happens. Do you want us to remake it for you or do you want a refund?ā No apologies, no expression, nothing. I replied by saying that we are newer customers but we do come weekly and we tip with each very small order and Iām just surprised this is the response of the supervisor. She responded by saying: āIām not going to lie to you, this is what sometimes happens: we forget about these types of orders.ā I expressed my frustration that her tone was passive aggressive and very uncaring. She then proceeded to ask if I wanted a refund to which I said yes. Upon completion of the refund, she takes the voided receipt and puts it into an envelope. I requested a copy of the voided receipt, and she stated she is unable to provide me with one, stating there is āpersonal information about the store on the voided receipt.ā I asked to at least take a photo of the receipt, and she also refused, stating the same answer. I told her Iāve never heard of a store refusing to provide a voided receipt. What if the refund didnāt go through, then I have no proof of refund to show my bank. I believe Danni lied, and actually I know she lied about the receipt, because when I called corporate later, they said that was not a Starbucks policy at all. Also, each time I tried saying something, she kept talking over me, refusing to let me get my point across. It reached a point where I requested the name of her manager who she said was not in the store at that time. I ended up reaching out to corporate customer care. The only thing they did was take down the information of the incident and said they would pass it along to the manager and regional manager of that location. No compensation, no apologies, nothing. Corporate didnāt even ask for my information, in case the manager wanted to get in touch. In short, this location (and corporate) seem to not at all care about forgotten orders and when the customer states their concern, Starbucks seems to think its acceptable to respond with an attitude. They also donāt seem to care about developmentally disabled adults, based on their interaction with us today. Dunkin has a much better, more positive atmosphere. Also, the interior of this place is disgusting. Spilled sugar over the tables, sticky areas on the floor, chipped and peeling paint, smelly and moldy bathroom. Just an overall trashy location with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a frustrating experience at the Starbucks in Mayfield. They lacked an ingredient for my usual drink, and when I suggested a reasonable replacement from their available options, they insisted on charging extra. Despite explaining that the replacement was cheaper and that other Starbucks handle it differently, they stuck to the absurdity, leaving me dissatisfied with the service. So I purchased nothing. I wonder how much money that particular starbucks is losing these days. Starbucks offers a premium service with their drinks. I pay anywhen form 4.65- 8.50 for a drink. If I'm doing ad-ins, I don't mind paying for them. Being told that they're missing items but they want to charge me more to replace them is ridiculous. What was really annoying was being told that it's because of inventory purposes. Lady, I've watched you people make your own drinks and concoctions and throw them away. Where is inventory on that?_____Below is the review I gave 4 years ago. With 3 š stars. The drinks are okay but they're not always full. The service is mediocre. I've come here a few times and it is usually about the same. If I can make it to a different Starbucks I do not stop. I'll even go to extra 10-15 minute drive to have better service. In the picture is a green tea frappuccino with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdited because this location has really gotten better. The drinks are as they should be made every time. The drive through can be long, but it is now within a reasonable amount of time it takes to make everyone's drinks in the line. If the line ever looks too long I just select inside pick up, and it gets made very quickly. Inside seating is still sparse, but it is a small location. Just have to be prepared you may not get a table if that's your intention.
Not enough seating inside. Whenever I go through the driveway, which is not often because it takes so long, the coffee is never close to being full in the cup. Usually it is down the cup maybe 2-3 inches. Tonight when I went through because the line was not long, I took two sips, not gulps but sips, and opened the lid to get some whipped cream from the top of the white peppermint mocha, and the cup was barely 2/3 full. An inch from the half-filled point. $4.95 for a half of a grande milk, sugar, and a little bit of coffee drink. And it was luke warm. Pathetic. At least it tasted good once I got home, warmed it up, and added more coffee, otherwise I would have given 1 star. Finally learned my lesson, and from now on I will just stay home and frequent my Nespresso machine....
