Then, the owner stated and I agreed she would adjust color one level darker (pic #2). The results were so unfortunate with many excuses…. The color was lighter than before, then she proposed darken with a rinse. I agreed. I simply wanted to return to the original color (pic #2) just 4 days earlier. The second, final, and horrible color was pic #3. Never did I request or she offer red, auburn, etc. Owner’s responses were, “I told you to keep it”, “I told you it would darken” “ You insisted” and “I told you”. Excuses…as she added the other stylist, Christine said you would not be happy. Owner tells me everyone in the salon liked her first color correction (not seen here but lighter than pic #1). Should the client like their hairstyle or the paid stylist? It is not a difficult question! — I am posting because I should have reviewed comments like Mikenna, Cherly, etc. before my visit. Yes, mistakes happen but the key is professionalism (decline services you can’t perform, acknowledge the clients’ request). [By the way, I have the...
After praying & completing a three week search for an old school stylist who could press hair correctly with a hot comb, God led me to Ms. Denise Jones. Ms. Denise delivers on old school and new school. She pressed my hair like a fresh perm. My front edges and kitchen (nape) was laid like baby hair without gel and the shaft of my hair was smooth without any kinks. She brought my dry 4 B,C hair texture back to life with an amino treatment and trimmed my ends. She gave me what I asked for: shine, bounce, and roots pressed via light castrol oil. It was a thunderstorm the day she did my hair. She curled , wrapped. and secured my hair and I had no shrinkage or frizz with my press in the mist of a storm while running errands. I also wear braids, I saw her neatly cornrow and crochet a client prior to my appointment, It was phenomenal. I will be getting crochets this summer. She provides great hair care along with affordable pricing. The salon's atomsphere is upscale with beautiful decor and provides a professional warm relaxing family vibe. I made my two week follow-up before leaving the salon....
Read moreI got to meet Amanda a couple of weeks ago in person to see if I wanted Press Hair Salon to be home for my mom and I. I could tell she is very knowledgeable about hair. I've had my hair cut short for almost 2 years and though I love it I decided to grow my hair back out. My mom is doing the same and she absolutely loves what Amanda did for her. She has gotten many compliments on her hair. She is trying to grow her hair back out to. Ofc healthy moisturized hair is the most important. I did a sew in which I was nervous about since the first time I had one over 10 years ago was a disaster from another stylist. Amanda took me back to when my hair was long. I absolutely love it! It looks very natural for someone like me who's sides are shaved down. You wouldn't be able to tell. She is very friendly, nice, and she doesn't take long but she doesn't rush you either.. We will be coming back for sure. I plan to continue my journey with her. Thank you. The salon is very very clean ( this is a must) and and I love the vibe here. Thank you so...
