We had guests come in from Florida who requested to eat at a Texas Roadhouse. So we chose this one because it was close to us. It was not a good experience at all. First, when we got there, we had a party of 7, and they placed us at a booth, which made it sort of tight even though the table had an extender. It put one of our guests out in the aisle. I didn't think that was a good idea. He was very uncomfortable, as people were bumping him as they were walking in the aisle. My daughter was denied the ability to order alcohol not bcuz she was underage or her license was expired, but bcuz her license was vertical. We were told that the restaurant was not allowed to accept ID's, that were vertical. My feeling is if the state of Georgia does not expire that ID, that ID is valid. It is quite embarrassing to be 23 years old and be denied the ability to drink because your license is vertical; not because your license is invalid. Rather than go back-and-forth with the waitress who was not very friendly, my husband ordered a drink and told my daughter that he would share it with her. Our waitress came to our table and saw my daughter drinking the drink and went and reported it to the manager who then came over and without even introducing himself proceeded to imply that we were illegally allowing someone to drink who wasn't legally allowed. It was not like we were giving someone who was under age a drink. That made for a bad relationship between us and our waitress from then on, who had to then come back over and take our orders. We weren't really interested in dealing with her anymore. After our meal was over, the manager came over to ask if everything was okay. I expressed my feelings about how that entire situation went down. He apologized. However, we never saw the waitress again. She never offered an apology, explanation, or anything. She wasn't friendly from the beginning, and it definitely didn't get better. On top of that, the food was not that good. My husband had the beef tips, which he said were very tough, I had prime rib, which was okay, but the vegetables were undercooked. They were very, very crunchy. Our guests left the majority of their food on the table as they were traveling and could not take it to go and just lost their appetite from the whole experience. I was very disappointed that we chose that restaurant. Especially since our guests were from out of town. They specifically requested Texas Roadhouse based on their experience at another restaurant, we will not be going back to this restaurant again and my daughter has already gone to DOT to get her license changed to a horizontal license even though her license is two years...
Read moreManagement was disappointing. Service was amazing. Server was Brittany. The last time I came was the end of April and I had an awful experience. Last time my steak salad was made wrong as well as had meat that looked like it had belonged on a Philly cheese steak and took over 30 mins to be remade while my friend sat and stared at her food to be polite and not eat because I’m pregnant. We were told a manager would run the remake, but did not. Even the server that time seemed frustrated with that. I was given a $40 voucher after I had already paid because I had to specifically ask for a manager at the end of my visit. I waited almost 2 months to return and tried again today. My salad had a hair in it and my steak came out well done and dry rather than medium well. I’m still pregnant so I have to be careful with steaks being under cooked so I have to order it that way. Again, had to wait on a remake and had to bed my husband to keep eating his food so it wouldn’t get cold and feel like a waste of money. The waitress brought me another plate with a bigger steak cooked medium as I requested the second time around with the idea It’ll be cooked more by the time I get home. I didn’t ask for a bigger steak so that was appreciated and she also brought my 2 yr old free ice cream. While I’m sure she needed manager’s approval to do this, not a single time did a manager stop by after hearing anything that was going on. I watched Brittany tell both managers on the floor and they looked right at me, but not once did they come over. She even told me she’d have one come stop by, so it was disappointing. I was being very kind. I run a restaurant so I know how hard it is to have every single thing be perfect all the time, but for a manager to refuse to stop by knowing this is our return visit from a previously bad one as well as more than 1 thing going wrong this time, the least they could do is seem to care. It was also hard to tell who a manager was. I assume they’re the ones with head sets and tablets. I saw them stop by a couple tables for a 2 second check in, but they did not seem to really own the floor and run the shift. Again, Brittany was amazing. Her amazing energy was the only reason we didn’t leave extremely upset. For this to be such a popular brand especially in our area, I expected more...
Read moreI’ve visited this location an occasion of three times in the past two weeks as a Texas Roadhouse newcomer. I hyper fixated on the Roadkill Cubed Steak (Medium Well) with loaded mash tators and the first visit was blissful.
The second visit not so much. As my order took over 45 mins to arrive to me. I walked in at the same time as three other patrons and they ate and left before I could dig in to my meal. It was made right by all the staff who waited on me, as well as the manager who charged me $0.01 for my meal. I tipped my server $12 as he was so kind and attentive.
Because of that kindness, I figured lightening wouldn't strike twice in the same spot. I hate to say that I was wrong. I ordered the exact same thing and this time, they cooked it medium raw. I let the server know that maybe my lisp got in the way and she misheard but she reassured me that she put it in as medium well and the kitchen cooked it incorrectly.
She returned the plate to the kitchen and about 10 mins later, the same manager from my last visit brought this plate out as well. It was the same cubed steak refired. I know this because it was cut just the way I cut it. I didn't mind, though. I just wanted to eat. He asked me to cut into it to make sure it was to my liking. I cut into the corner and it seemed fine. He waved to my friend I was speaking to on FaceTime and proceeded about his duties and I began cutting some more and the meat was still bloody. Frustrated at this point, I waved my server down and asked for the check. I wanted to pay and leave because I was over it and I no longer wanted the meal. She insisted I stay because she wanted to make it right so I opted for the smothered chicken instead. I asked for the chicken to have all the fixings of the cubed steak (mushrooms, pepper Jack cheese, sautéed onions). 10 mins later, I got the chicken and it had no cheese. I asked for a to-go box and the check. She said she had to get the check modified and she'd be right back. I only had to pay for my strawberry lemonade this time.
Although I will not be returning to Texas Roadhouse due to my experiences, I urge anyone who wants great food and great customer service to visit! My...
