ALMOST GOT SCAMMED *read* I had a pickup order at the “Milk & Honey” restaurant on June 30th 2025 between 3:00 pm and 4:15 pm. I know the milk and honey store closes at 4 pm on Monday, so I went there around 3 pm. I ordered through another app called “TooGoodToGo” which is an app where restaurants can give away leftover food for a good price. Since the Milk & Honey in McDonough was on that app, which is a trusted app that has great reviews, I thought I would give it a try. I arrived at the Milk and Honey restaurant at 3:06 pm and it was closed. Me and my mom knocked on the door and no one was there and the open sign light was off. I started to get confused because I already paid beforehand. I tried calling the number to the milk and honey restaurant (which was listed on their door) and it didn’t go through. Mind you, the app I ordered from said to go inside to the pick up window and show the employee my confirmation code. I wasn’t able to do that because the restaurant was completely closed and empty. The doors were locked. Me and my mom went around the restaurant building to see if there was any employer there. There back door was open so that’s what made us think someone is still back there. Well my mom shouted “hello, we’re here to pick up an order” multiple times but no one answered. After that, we just left. I know you might be thinking it’s the app’s fault but it’s not. The app I ordered from did its job, the only thing is that the restaurant Milk and Honey was closed. We literally went at 3:06 pm and it was closed but it is supposed to close at 4 pm on Mondays. We even double checked on Google and it said the restaurant was open. Unfortunately, I never got my food, but I did ended up getting a refund from the “TooGoodToGo” app. Its a shame because I always wanted to go to Milk & Honey because it looks like they have great food. This restaurant has so much potential. Milk & Honey would be better with new management. Also, every time we went to Milk & Honey in the past, the restaurant always seemed to be closed.

My daughter and I went to try Milk and Honey today. When we were first seated, the table was dirty and I had to tell the waitress that the table was dirty. I wanted to order a Spirit drink. However, the waitress said the sprite is flat. I wanted a cup of water since I couldn't get a sprite. Apparently, they don’t do cups of water,  they only do alkaline (honey milk water). My daughter and I ordered our food. I noticed that my rice was cold and old, like the rice was from the previous day. On top of that, the chicken was cold, too. I decided to check the chicken to make sure it was cooked, IT WASN'T!  IT WAS BLOODY IN THE MIDDLE!  I called over the manager to show it to her and tell her about the food. She told me that, that’s how rotisserie chicken is supposed to be. Then she said to me, "You never had rotisserie chicken before." I said yes, and it was cooked. This one is bloody and not cooked. I ordered the honey hot rotisserie chicken. As you can see in the pictures, the honey hot sauce was never on the chicken. I had to ask about it, so they brought me the sauce on the side. This whole meal was very disappointing. Along with my daughter’s chicken and waffles . Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of the plate it came in, that was full with basil like they were seasoning the plate with it, but this is the to go containers that I put the food in as you can see in the pictures. There's a sign on the table that said, if you pay with cash, you save 5%.  I paid with cash, I never got the 5%, and I did not get my full change back.  When I noticed that, I put my money back in my purse for the tip. Apparently, they tipped themselves with your change. I would never try this place again or any other location of Milk and Honey. It's sad to say I had a bad experience, and if I had a choice, it would be ZERO STARS!

HORRIBLE!!!! One star is too much. The order was a cheeseburger classic with steak fries add bacon, 16oz lemonade, two orders of fried green tomatoes, crab cakes and a16oz coke. Total cost $62.06. Today was my first time at Milk & Honey in McDonough. I was accompanied by my husband. Please see attached pictures. I regret that I did not take pictures of the staff loitering around the counter eating and socializing, as well as their unprofessional snd unsanitary appearance. Let me not forget lack of food safety procedures followed. Our waitress horrific body order and rotten breath was tragic and she expected a tip. NOT!! Not to mention the crack of her rear was on constant display. The food was nasty. Cannot understand how fried green tomatoes cooked in chicken batter (not buttermilk and cornmeal) were totally raw inside. No seasoning. I was charged $4.50 to add bacon(that came raw) on a cheese burger. I was charged $3.50 for a 21oz coke( that was completely flat)served in a 16oz plastic cup. You do the math. I was charged 8% tax and 20% service fee. The entire experience was horrible. I do not recommend this restaurant. We will never go there again or any of the company's other locations. They are very much overpriced for the quality and quantity you receive then to add a service fee of 20%.. for what? and ask for tip on top of that. Hell Nawl! They need to shut their doors. It's awful. Please note: A majority of all items on menu have cheese or cheese sauce. We don't need shopping center eateries like these. Give us more elegant restaurants where we can dress up and are willing to pay more for a higher quality and great service. Go to Nuoveau Bar and Grill in College Park instead. Always great! I wish I could give this place a sub-zero rating – it was THAT bad! My brother took my mom and I here for brunch to celebrate our birthdays and we drove over 45 minutes to get there, only to have a HORRIBLE experience. Upon walking in, my brother was surprised that it was set up like a cafeteria/diner, as he thought it was a ‘nice’ brunch restaurant… but we could get past that if the food was great. Unfortunately, it absolutely wasn’t! For those that don’t care to read all the details, the summary is: 1) They wouldn’t serve me water, 2) The bathroom sink was inoperable, 3) The drinks weren’t prepared uniformly, 4) The food came out incorrectly, undercooked and inedible, and 5) Service was slow. Now, for the details… When asked what we’d like to drink, I ordered water. After reminding the server three times, he finally tells me they don’t have any water. Of course, I thought he was joking. But no – they only sell bottled water and they were out of it. So I asked for a glass of water and was told they didn’t serve glasses of water… WHAT?!? So my only options were to order a sugary drink (which cost more than the bottle of water that I really wanted) or an alcoholic beverage or to eat my food with nothing to wash it down. UNBELIEVABLE. I then went to the bathroom and when I went to wash my hands, after lathering them up with soap I realized that the sink was inoperable and the handle to the faucet was completely broken off! I had to walk out with soapy hands and find out if there was another bathroom I could use. The better question is, how were the several people I’d seen go in and out of the bathroom, including employees, unable to wash their hands?! Next issue was my brother ordered a pineapple mimosa, which came to the table in a glass topped with fresh fruit… it looked so good that my mom ordered the same thing. Her drink came to the table in a glass with no fruit, just the drink. It wasn’t until we asked that they realized it was made differently, and they brought her fruit on the side to put into her drink herself. When our food came to the table, my mother’s fried brussels sprouts were completely raw on the inside and inedible and my brother’s food was so salty that it too was inedible. As for me, I ordered blackened salmon and grits and they brought out fried salmon and grits… so I had to wait for them to bring out the correct order. When the ‘blackened’ salmon came out, there was no visible seasoning on it and I asked to confirm it was blackened and the server said yes… even though it clearly was not. I then asked for a manager who confirmed that it was not blackened salmon. So for our birthday brunch, half of my mom’s food and my brother’s food was inedible and I didn’t eat at all because they could not get my order right and we’d already been there an hour and a half. On top of all that, a couple a few tables earlier walked out without eating because they couldn’t get their orders right either. Then, as we were complaining to the manager, a large party nearby overhead us and said their food was messed up as well. So essentially all of the customers in the restaurant had a bad experience. Upon speaking with the assistant manager (the manager was busy helping correct issues at the table with the large party) I was told that yes, the faucet in the bathroom is broken but if you push on the screw/pipe sticking up, you can turn the water on and that she’d just done so… basically, patrons are supposed to figure out how to jury-rig the sink to get it to work without a faucet… ok……. She apologized and took my meal (which was sent back twice and never eaten) off the bill and took half of my brother’s meal off. However, the kicker was that I explained the whole issue of not being able to order water and how I didn’t want a sugary drink and only drank a third of the glass of sweet tea, so I’d like them to take it off the bill – she was adamant that she could not do so… that’s where the line was drawn – at the sweet tea!? Needless to say, I let them know that obviously we would...

SIMPLY NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL FROM THE LOOK OF THE PLACE ,TO THE TASTELESS, OLD, STALE FOOD THEY SERVE, TO THE GHETTO MANAGEMENT. AFTER READING ALL THE BAD REVIEWS I STILL WAS WILLING TO TRY THIS LOCATION AND I REGRETTED IT INSTANTLY WHEN I CAME TO PICK UP THE ORDER. I PLACED IT ONLINE THROUGH THEIR SITE FOR PICKUP, GOT THERE AS SOON AS I STEPPED INTO THE RESTAURANT AND LOOKED AROUND I WANTED TO CANCEL THE ORDER. I WENT AHEAD AND WALKED TO THE COUNTER GAVE MY NAME AND THE SERVER WAS JUST FINISHING UP WITH PACKING THE ORDER IN THE BAGS. AFTER GETTING THE ORDER I LEFT THE RESTAURANT, AFTER DRIVING OFF I THOUGHT TO ACTUALLY CHECK IT AND UPON DOING SO NOTICED THAT THE HALF GRILLED CHICKEN LOOKED DISGUSTING. IT LOOKED OLD AND DISCOLORED AND WHEN I PULLED THE CHICKEN OPEN THE INSIDE WAS FILLED WITH WHAT LOOKED LIKE COBWEBS AND BLACKNESS JUST LOOKED NASTY. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THEY DIDN'T PUT MY ORDER OF SALMON BITES IN THE BAG. I HAD TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK TO THE RESTAURANT AND THIS IS WHEN THE UNPROFESSIONALISM STARTED. I CAME IN AND STATED THAT THEY HAD FORGOTTEN AN ITEM FROM MY ORDER AS WELL AS STATING I DIDN'T FEEL THAT THE CHICKEN WAS SAFE TO EAT AND NOT FRESH. THE 1st manager(light skinned didn’t get a name) with her face turned up frowning asked what was wrong WITH THE CHICKEN SO I STATED IT AGAIN IT LOOKS OLD AND UNSAFE TO EAT AND I WOULD JUST LIKE A REFUND. SO SHE PROCEEDS TO WALK TO THE KITCHEN AND ANOTHER IM ASSUMING MANAGER (dark skinned tall didn’t give a name) WALKED UP AND STATED THE OBVIOUS WHAT WAS THE ISSUE WITH THE ITEM AND AGAIN I STATED ITS OLD AND LOOKS UNSAFE TO EAT ALSO STATING THAT SHE CAN SEE IT CLEARLY BY LOOKING AT THE OLD CHICKEN. SHE PROCEEDS TO TRY AND STATE LIES AS IF THEY HAD JUST FRESHLY MADE THE CHICKEN AND IT LOOKS THAT WAY BECAUSE OF THE SEASONING(blah blah) and even asked if I would taste it. I THEN STATED I WOULD PUT FOOD IN MY MOUTH THAT LOOKED LIKE THAT EVER, ALSO STATED THAT I ORDER THE ITEM EVERY-TIME I GO TO MILK AND HONEY AT OTHER LOCATIONS AND IT NEVER LOOKS THAT WAY AND ALSO STATED IT DOESN'T TAKE A GENIUS TO SEE THAT THE CHICKEN WAS OLD AND PROBABLY SPOILED BEFORE THEY EVEN COOKED IT AND I WOULDN'T DARE EAT IT OR SERVE IT TO ANYONE AND THEY SHOULDN’T EITHER. I ASKED FOR THE ITEM TO BE REFUNDED AND FOR THEM TO GIVE MY MISSING ORDER OF SALMON BITES. SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO STATE THEY CANT GIVE REFUNDS AND AFTER THAT LIE I WAS DONE. I STATED THAT WASNT TRUE BECAUSE I HAD A REFUND GIVEN BEFORE FROM MILK&HONEY AND SHE BEGAN TO STATE THAT I COULD GET ANOTHER ITEM TO REPLACE THE CHICKEN. THEN STATED SHE WOULD GIVE A REFUND BUT WOULD HAVE TO REFUND THE WHOLE ORDER AND CHARGE MY CARD AGAIN, JUST ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH THE MADE UP RULES. I TOLD HER SHE COULD STOP RIGHT THERE AND STATED I WOULDN’T LET THEM DO ANYTHING WITH MY CARD BECAUSE OF THE UNPROFESSIONAL WAY SHE WAS HANDLING THE WHOLE ORDEAL. I THEN STATED I WOULD JUST TAKE 1 PLAIN WAFFLE SO I COULD GET OUT OF THE TERRIBLE SITUATION AND THEY COULD KEEP THE MONEY THAT THEY SO DESPERATELY NEED TO THE POINT THAT THEY WOULD TRY TO SELL OLD, SPOILED, UNSAFE FOOD TO CUSTOMERS TO MAKE A BUCK. I TRY SO HARD TO SUPPORT BUSINESSES LIKE THIS BUT EVERY SINGLE TIME THIS IS THE TYPE OF SITUATIONS THAT OCCUR AND THEN THEY WONDER WHY WE FINALLY GIVE UP AND DINE WITH...

The service was horrible and our food had to be sent back multiple times. First, we ordered honey biscuits as an appetizer and had to send one of them back because it was hard. Next, it took entirely too long to receive our food. Mind you, it was a Monday morning and there weren’t many other customers present. When the food arrived, we were told that they were out of hash browns, so they made our dishes with potatoes instead. This should’ve been communicated prior to bringing the food out, as we may not have wanted potatoes. In addition to the switch to potatoes, the salmon on my dish was fried and should have been grilled. I told the waitress that it was crazy that it had taken so long to get our food, just for it to arrive incorrect. She responded stating that “she is not the cook,” so essentially the mistake was not on her, but then proceeded to state that she thought she had put it in as grilled, but did not. When the new plate arrived, the salmon was grilled but half of it was stuffed with crab meat, which is not what was ordered. The waitress stated it was given to me as a courtesy because the original order was incorrect. I stated that I did not want the salmon to be stuffed with crab meat and she said that I could just give it to my boyfriend because he eats crab (he had ordered crab cakes), and I could just eat the other unstuffed half. That was an unacceptable response, as the salmon dish was supposed to be my meal. Additionally, I asked if the grilled half of the salmon was considered a full serving and she stated that it was. This was inaccurate. I eventually spoke with the manager and she did acknowledge that I should have been asked if I wanted stuffed salmon instead of what I ordered regardless of it being given as a “courtesy.” She also offered to bring the correct food, but at that point, I had lost my appetite and no longer wanted to support this location. I appreciated that the manager was accommodating, but it’s unfortunate that the server lacked professionalism. I have dined at the cascade location multiple times before and have had great experiences there. Due to this negative experience, I will never return to...
