I have lived here for 8 months and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Bobbi made moving me in a priority, even when it meant adjusting to my work schedule and quick turnaround time to ensure I was moved in when I wanted to be. Bobbi has always gone above and beyond. Stephanie has also been amazing! She has always been ready and willing to answer any and all questions and she always provides amazing customer service. You can tell both Bobbi and Stephanie care greatly about the well being of their tenants. They also hold events throughout the year which gives the tenants an opportunity to get to know each other and to get to know Bobbi and Stephanie and their family. Regarding the actual apartment complex, the gates are typically functional. Whenever they are not, it is typically fixed within a week. Usually only the arm on the entrance gates are broken, but the gate is still functional and I've never really cared for the arm anyway - although I do see how it adds an extra layer of security, preventing people from trying to follow cars through the gate. The area is quiet and safe enough for me to feel comfortable going for a run and walking with my son to the park, pool, and fitness center (all apartment amenities). I love the way the apartments are laid out, because it does not feel like I am living in an apartment, but rather in something I can actually call my own space. I will say, the walls seem a bit thin as I can hear all kinds of things (my neighbors going up and down their stairs, setting their alarms, snoring, talking from certain areas of their units, etc.) but I adjusted to it quickly. Every maintenance or pest control issue I have ever had was resolve quickly and professionally. All of the amenities are great. Honestly, I could go on and on. Ultimately, this place has been a pleasure to call home and it is unfortunate that I have to leave early. A note on terminating your lease early: My experience so far has been fine. As long as you do everything according to your lease and provide the documentation you are meant to provide (receipt of carpet cleaning, proof of prior damages upon move-in, electricity still going until move out date, etc.) then everything should go smoothly. I did notice someone has a negative review about that, but I think it may have been a case of misunderstanding. Please make sure you read your lease AND contact the office for more details should you need to terminate the...
Read morePROS & CONS - I've been living at the Villas at South Point apartments for 3 months now. The staff is nice and welcoming. Upon first showing of my apartment I was impressed with how clean it was and noticed the fresh carpet cleaning (which is part of your lease agreement prior to move out/leaving). The apartments are not newly renovated and there are a few signs of wear and tear in the kitchen and in the bathroom (and my front door that I will soon mention). The property is well maintained though and that's nice. Front door wasn't flush in closing and I had/have serious concerns for safety about that. Put in a maintenance request and I'm not sure what they did, but it still isn't fixed. You can see the sunlight through the door jam and when the leaf blower gets going from the landscapers a few slide inside with debris. Now, my major issue is my neighbor that lives above me. I unfortunately moved at a peak time and could not get a top floor apartment. Definitely my first mistake. Went to the front office about the excessive noise made by the heavy walking at all times of the day and night. THESE ARE NOT LIGHT STEPS by any means. We are living in an apartment. Courtesy is key. You don't just hear the heavy steps you literally can FEEL the heavy vibration from the ceiling in multiple rooms in my apartment. Called a courtesy officer and left a message because it wasn't ideally an emergency. Next day went to the front office to let them know that I left a message because they never got in contact with me. Week goes by and I stop by again at the office to let them know that they are clearly not getting the messages or letters that the front office is putting out. $1K a month and I can't get consistent peace where I reside is exactly why I couldn't give any more stars and didn't want to rate the property at a two because the location and other things are not subpar. Just make sure you get a top floor apartment I guess to minimize some of these situations. Could go other places and pay more for nicer upgrades as...
Read moreSTAY AWAY from!!!Halston South Point Apartments!!The entire process has been extremely disorganized and frustrating. I was promised multiple times by the property manager that they would contact the third-party approver within 24 hours to confirm my uploaded documents were valid and to ensure an easy approval. I was specifically told the property manager had the ability and authority to do this. Despite these repeated promises, no call was ever made within the 24-hour timeframe, resulting in unnecessary delays and disapproval. I was also charged an unexplained fee that was never clearly stated. When I questioned this the staff could not provide a clear answer and suggested it might have been from a banking dispute. However, the “dispute” was automatically initiated by my financial institution due to being charged the same amount multiple times for separate applications to Halston South Point (two adults). As soon as I discovered this, I immediately resolved it with my bank and called the leasing office. I was told by Halston South Point that it was “not a problem” and that everything was settled and that we had nothing to worry about. Yet, I am still facing an unexplained charge today. In addition, I was repeatedly lied to and ignored for over two days despite multiple phone calls, and had no other means of contact since this property does not even provide an email. The lack of communication and refusal to follow through on their own assurances shows how unreliable this apartment complex is. For these reasons, I cannot recommend applying here. There are thousands of other apartment options around the Atlanta area that are more responsive and not liars unlike Halston South Point. We are very disappointed and shocked at the...
