Posted on social media last night after a great shopping experience at the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery on Jonesboro Rd in McDonough, GA. Chris Harrison was an excellent salesman, and Shaheen was extremely quick in getting my order written up and handled yesterday. I will definitely be shopping there again! Here's my post on social media last night:
"I have been needing furniture for my den and knew I wanted a recliner with legs. Iâve looked online and in a few stores, but never found what I wanted. A friend from work suggested I go look at La z Boy. I really never thought Iâd able to afford that, but I went last night after work anyway. Being a Friday night, there was hardly anyone there, but as soon as I walked in and looked around, in less than a minute, I knew Iâd found what I wanted. It was truly one of those âwhen you know, you knowâ moments. I had great customer service from a salesman named Chris Harrison. Very helpful, answered my questions and left me alone to browse for a few minutes. When he came back, we talked a bit more, he answered a few more questions, gave me printouts of two chairs I was interested in, all the numbers, a bottom line price, and told me to go home and think about it. He knew I was interested, but there was NO pressure to buy last night or anything. I came home, made some decisions and went back today after work to order TWO of one of the the chairs I was interested in. The best thing, along with great customer service, is that they are having a Presidentâs Day sale, so they were about 60% off! I basically got two chairs for what one would have normally cost, and 7 months no interest if I want to take time to pay for them. Also, when I went back today, I expected to be there at least 30-40 minutes, but despite being busy, I was greeted promptly, and although Chris was helping someone else, he came over to speak again and made me feel my purchase was a priority to him. He remembered exactly what weâd discussed, I believe it was the district manager (from what another co-worker told me), Shaheen, that wrote up my order, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. It will be about 6 weeks before the chairs get here, but that will be perfect timing for after tax season, so itâs just a win-win all the way around. Their Presidentâs Day sale runs through Monday, so if youâre thinking you need something new in the way of furniture, go check them out! Who knows - once these babies are paid off, I may go back myself! Great...
Read moreThe lady we worked with at the McDonough, GA store was EXCELLENT! The sofa table is EXCELLENT. But we had a problem with the end table we purchased and are not happy with the outcome of it. I picked the item up at the store - had asked for it to be unboxed and assembled (if needed). It had the box off but none of the packing material had been removed (so it had not been checked over!). The man working in that area took the Styrofoam off but DID NOT CHECK the bottom of the legs before putting it in my van. I took it out when I arrived home and placed it on my hardwood floor and was trying to turn it upside down to put flannel on the "feet". I slide it about 8 inches trying to turn it over not knowing there was 2 BARE BENT nails sticking out with no glider feet on them. It gouged my floor! The nails were bent over - as if someone tried to nail on the glider feet but didn't get them to go in properly. I have pictures! The person I talked with about this insinuated that I broke the feet off (BUT I DIDN'T). He basically played devils advocate... NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT ALL!!!! I very gently sat the product down (I didn't want to damage my floor!) What was done to this piece of furniture was done at the factory - the nails were bent over - not put in straight as they should have. And it didn't have the gliders on two legs. I didn't do this!!!! The customer service person I spoke with was HORRIBLE!!!! I am a Christian and don't lie... I didn't do ANY damage to the piece of furniture I had just spent about $350 on! Why would I do damage to a new piece of furniture? I DIDN'T!!!!! The factory did. But because I picked the furniture up and signed the paper the man asked me to sign - I didn't know I signed it saying that the piece was in perfect condition. I thought I was just signing saying that I picked it up. We have bought $1000's of dollars worth of furniture from LazBoy but have purchased our last! You have lost a very GOOD customer and also we will not recommend your company to our friends anymore. I was going to take a friend (who doesn't drive) there to shop for a recliner... But I...
Read moreFirst of all I am not getting paid to write this. There is a low rating by someone so I have to tell my story. I purchased an almost $3000 total price couch somewhere else. In less than 2 years I could feel wood on my back and it sat lower on one side. It's just my husband and I and we do not live on the couch. The leather still looks new. We have never spilled and we keep the bottom covered. Anyway they told me it had a 5yr warranty so I called and apparently there was no warranty so I was lied to when I bought it and I didn't ask for proof. Lesson learned. I have done my research and chose La-Z-Boy. I called and asked like 14 questions off the bat because I got burned with the other couch and the sales person answered each one genuinely and without hesitation. Their furniture has a lifetime warranty on most everything. Now if I have an issue with the padding that may cost me $80 BUT I rammed my arm through the back and felt no wood. And she explained to me they use different padding than most places. I paid almost the same price today for a lifetime couch that I paid for a far inferior couch ( that still looks great on presentation). I am beyond happy. I just wish I had spent my money with La-Z-Boy for all my furniture in the first place. Lesson learned. There are other places that sell warranties on their couches but they do not cover padding. WHY? Its the first thing to go. I had rather have a lifetime leather couch and pay $80 for padding in the rare event it goes out than to keep paying thousands for a couch every year or...
