UPDATE TO REVIEW My friend and I went to the arcade on 7/15, this is the second time we have been. We come as they are just opening so we are the only two people there. There is also only one employee there, she gets us our bands and we order one drink with alcohol and another that is a virgin drink for myself. We drink about maybe half the drink and have been there for a couple hours before my friend needs to use the restroom. She goes and after she enters she finds one stall is covered in diarrhea. She is a very queasy person and the sight of it made her throw up. She vomits in the sink and immediately cleans it up. The one worker walks in and sees her clean the sink before leaving. My friend finishes cleaning and walks out to explain that she cleaned her throw up and that there was diarrhea in the last stall that caused it. The worker immediately cuts her off and states she needs to leave and she cannot throw up in a place like this as she is too drunk. Mind you she is the bar tender and saw that we only got one drink she can check the tab for proof. We had to leave and we are very displeased. The amount of disrespect this place showed especially the employee was disgusting , she was having a very coherent conversation with my friend and decided the reason she had to have thrown up was because she was drunk. The fact that an establishment like this sells alcohol and determines the best way to deal with people when they are drunk is to kick them out of the establishment is disgusting. The person drunk could injure themselves or others but as long as it’s not in your store it’s okay? No trying to sober up just kicking them out? The fact that my friend wasn’t even drunk much less tipsy after HALF a drink and yet they decided that was the reason to kick her out is beyond disgusting. Do better. I appreciate the reply, but I stand by my original review.
While I understand there are health codes and TABC regulations that must be followed, the way this situation was handled lacked professionalism, empathy, and basic communication. At no point were we told this was a legal or health code issue—we were immediately met with assumptions and judgment. My friend explained she became sick due to the state of the restroom, not because of intoxication, and rather than being listened to, she was dismissed.
To clarify:
My complaint had nothing to do with being served alcohol after the fact or how much alcohol was not served. That was never mentioned in my review. Your response focused heavily on TABC law, which had no relevance to the actual concern—how your staff treated us.
Saying she was “just smearing vomit around” is both disrespectful and unnecessary. She did her best in a moment of distress, trying to take accountability for a reaction caused by a clearly unsanitary restroom stall—which no one has denied was covered in diarrhea.
The defensive tone of your response was surprising. A professional business should be open to feedback without making it personal. This wasn’t a dig—it was constructive criticism. But based on your reply (and others I’ve seen), it seems like any negative feedback is treated as an attack. That’s not how you build customer trust.
Asking me to take down my review is inappropriate. This was my genuine experience. Whether intentional or not, your staff made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. You weren’t there. You didn’t witness the interaction. And perception matters. If a young child had gotten sick in your restroom, would they have been treated the same way? I doubt it.
If your staff had taken a moment to explain the situation calmly, or even acknowledged the unsanitary state of the bathroom that caused the incident, this review likely wouldn’t exist—or it would’ve praised how things were handled. Instead, we were made to feel like a problem.
Rather than getting defensive, I hope you take this as an opportunity to reflect and improve customer care. That’s how you turn bad moments into good...
Read moreArcade92 is not just an entertainment venue; it's a time capsule that transports you back to the golden era of gaming, while simultaneously offering the comforts and camaraderie of a modern social hub. As I walked in with my coworkers, the nostalgia hit me immediately. The arcade's vibrant, electric ambiance is a tribute to the 80s and 90s, with neon lights casting a warm glow over rows of classic arcade machines and gaming consoles. The air buzzes with the familiar sounds of pixels and electronic melodies, creating a backdrop that's both energetic and inviting.
The staff at Arcade92 are the real MVPs. They greeted us with smiles and an infectious enthusiasm for gaming that set the tone for the entire evening. Their knowledge of the games and consoles was impressive, guiding us through the vast selection and making recommendations based on our preferences and nostalgia. It was clear that they were not just employees but passionate gamers who took joy in sharing their love for the classics.
The gaming selection at Arcade92 is a treasure trove that caters to all tastes. From the iconic Pac-Man to the adrenaline-pumping Street Fighter, each game is a well-maintained piece of history. But what truly sets this arcade apart is the addition of actual gaming consoles. Settling into a comfortable area with my coworkers, we were transported back to our childhoods, hands gripping controllers, eyes fixed on the screens, and laughter filling the air as we battled it out in various multiplayer games. It's a unique feature that blends the communal aspect of arcades with the personal touch of home gaming.
The atmosphere at Arcade92 is something to behold. It's a place where the worries of the adult world seem to melt away, replaced by a sense of adventure and nostalgia. The décor is a thoughtful homage to the era, with posters of classic games and memorabilia adorning the walls. The lighting is just right—not too bright, but enough to keep the energy alive. It's the kind of place that feels instantly familiar, like stepping into a friend's well-loved game room.
But Arcade92 isn't just about gaming; it's about community. The other patrons, from avid gamers to curious newcomers, all shared in the collective joy of play. Conversations sparked effortlessly over shared memories of games and gaming lore. My coworkers and I found ourselves bonding not just over the games but over the stories and laughter that flowed freely in this space.
What I particularly loved was the collection of classic games. Each cabinet is a portal to the past, offering a chance to relive childhood victories or perhaps conquer old foes that once seemed unbeatable. The tactile feel of the joysticks, the click of the buttons, and the sight of those pixelated graphics were a delightful sensory experience that modern gaming often lacks.
In conclusion, Arcade92 is more than an arcade; it's a cultural experience that celebrates the history and social nature of gaming. The welcoming staff, the phenomenal selection of games, the cozy and vibrant atmosphere, and the chance to connect with others make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a nostalgic soul, or just looking for a unique night out with friends or coworkers, Arcade92 offers an experience that's both profoundly entertaining and unexpectedly heartwarming. I left feeling rejuvenated, connected, and already planning...
Read moreWe went to Arcade 92 with family last night and have previously really enjoyed this location. We had a large party of 10 and arrived right around 630pm. The arcade was not really that crowded when we arrived so we hoped to be able to order some food and get the the games quickly. We ordered food, got some drinks and started to enjoy playing some classic games. When we ordered our food we were told it would be 45 minutes before it would be ready. Simple bar food was ordered along with a pizza, but we were good to go with that time as everyone was enjoying the games. When it came to ordered drinks at the bar we noticed the staff was a bit overwhelmed with a growing crowd. It took a bit to get a drink or refill, but this okay as it was a bit more crowded, but getting service was a bit slow.
The tables were pretty much covered with empty bottles, glasses and trash, not sure who was cleaning up, but we cleared a table for our group. We noticed not a lot of clean up was happening at all. Some games that had a glass or drink shelf had multiple bottles or empty glasses on them. Not sure if there is time limits on some games but the kids in our group could not get onto some of the popular large screen games as these areas were "taken over" by others and they did not move from these games.
Another note was we noticed some just walked in (did not pay) and this seemed happen quite a bit (we had a party of 10 and paid $120 or so for entry). Again I feel this was due to the amount of people and the lack of staff (I think there were 3 people). I do want to stress all the employees were great.
After an hour and no food we checked in at the bar to see what our food status was, we were told the kitchen was way behind and overwhelmed. We had some young ones with us and they needed to eat so we decided it would be best to go elsewhere to eat and if any older ones in our group wanted to come back they could as we paid for their entry. I asked if we could get a refund on our food, and was told some food was delivered (order of mozzarella sticks) but was told by my party it was taken off the table by someone and they did not get it. They brought out the brisket slides (brisket, cheese slice, and small roll) and the food was ice cold, so it had been sitting for a while in the kitchen. So we requested a refunding for the food and cancel the rest (pizzas, and a couple of sandwiches). The staff were very helpful and apologized and refunded our food order costs. Our group decided to head elsewhere for food.
We do like this place, it is fun to play the classics but perhaps they need to add staff, or get their kitchen process / staff figured out. Again the three staff that were working were very friendly but overwhelmed with the amount of customers, orders, clean up and the kitchen. Hopefully this gets figured out as we do like coming here and playing some classic and new games as well as a pint or three!
(Review from 4 years ago) Great time and many memories. Kudos to the owners and staff for restoring and keeping these games running. Add in some good ales and food items too! Staff is excellent and attentive and great for the kids too. Got to relive some fond memories of my...
