I love McKinney Square. I can easily spend a whole afternoon here. Patina is one of my favorite lunch spots. I LOVE Rick's for steak dinners over pretty much any steakhouse in DFW. Local Yocal is fantastic for buying meats that are grass-fed (not grass-fed finished though). Their wagyu has the best flavor! You can also find fresh produce, dairy and locally made artisan bread loaves. The little shops are fun, something for everyone. We love Rockin' Bs Toy store. We have tried almost every restaurant in the square, and our least favorite is Harvest. The food is just not memorable. The service, however, is great. Which is odd considering it is owned by the same owners as Rick's and most (if not all) of the restaurants in the square. It is farm to table and the atmosphere is nice. We haven't tried any of the newer burger places but have heard good things. The farmers market every Saturday is great! We've been to Frisco's and the Dallas farmer's market. McKinney's is just better (in my opinion). Feels more down-home and authentic. Lots of vendors. You don't even mind how busy it is. I highly recommend getting there early, especially in the summer months. Cute atmosphere/area. Several clothing boutiques and I have never had a bad experience. "My Favorite Room" sells the best bamboo sheets. Luxury prices for well-made bedding. The antiques are amazing (I just window shop, they are pricey). The antique shops are cute and we go to the ski shop every couple of years for new gear, better than Sun and Ski. Especially if you like good-looking gear. I also purchase my hats every year for the Kentucky Derby in the square and so does my husband. I go to Sharla's. She is super sweet and so are her employees. Very helpful. My husband goes to The McKinney Hat Company and they are great! I could go on and on. McKinney...

Read moreIt was extremely clean and had a lot of shops but I just don't have enough money to spend on any of the available products. Most of the stuff looked like junk that was lying around got a bit of paint and a huge price tag slapped on it. I would love to be at the point in my life to be able to buy something at any of the stores without cringing at the price maybe one day I will get there. It's just pompous stores with "high class" products. Some of the store keepers looked down on you if you didn't buy anything. In one particular store we were greeted by an extremely sour faced elderly lady that glared at everyone the...
