This was my 1st time visiting MPAC. I just happened to run across the performance for the McKinney Dance Bands Count Meets Duke, big band music. I was searching for live music when I found it on the internet. I’m disappointed that they don’t advertise more, not even any signage outside the building of what is playing inside. So, I was very glad I found out cuz I loved it!! I love the big band era & to hear it played live was an absolute treat. The inside of the building is definitely dated, which I think added even more to this performance. I found it an extra treat that they made a little room for anyone that wanted to get up & dance along. It was great!! The acoustics were better than I expected & each instrument solo was excellent! It was very nice to hear the beautiful piano, sax, trumpet, bass, clarinet, & all the additional pieces that really add to the orchestra feel. There were 2 singers they would bring on for certain songs & they were adorable. It was nice to be able to sense the camaraderie between the band players too. Parking: This has definitely become the worst part of downtown McKinney these days. This was on a Friday evening & there was absolutely ZERO parking on any street. Thankfully the parking garage on Davies is free & has more parking. But plan ahead to add walk time since you won’t be able to park near the attraction. Overall it was a positive experience & I highly recommend attending a performance here. I’m looking forward to this band returning in November to play Glen Miller music. This was an overall feel good crowd.

McKinney performing arts centre is a theater located in downtown McKinney Square hosting plays and other performances, some featuring local actors. The entire area is a well preserved historic time capsule with most of the buildings being from the 19th century and currently used as local businesses such as barbershops, clothing, shops, souvenir, shops, restaurants, bars, and fashion boutiques. Excellent place to visit. I highly recommend.

This building has been around for many decades. Once the court and city building serving the public in the 1940's. Today it has been transformed into a public performing arts center that sits right in the middle of our beautifully remodeled and revamped downtown,it's architecture is still impressive and every turn uncovers wonderful moments in history teaching us how McKinney was born and had survived all these years

We personally went into the box office to consider purchasing two tickets to see Pam Tillis. There first was a sign instructing the public to knock if a light was on. We were met with a middle aged female who seemed to be put out by our desire to buy tickets. By her actions implying that she doesn't have time for us we ultimately decided against it. After asking the price my wife and I needed a few seconds to decide to by them or not because they were priced pretty high. But since the employee was so impatient we just left the room. To avoid this from happening in the future, please consider when it seems impossible to meet customers personally to make a sale either post a sign stating when the employee will be back or make your ticket product available online. This incident upset my wife and I all day long. Not that it would matter to anyone else but me. Signed (decide if you want to be in ticket...

McKinney, TX is great town, lots of friendly, very nice people, and shops, around the square, and a fine music venue.

There is, also, THE THROCKMORTON STATUE, a statue of a founding father--who happened to be a CONFEDERATE SOLDIER-- and the mayor is against MY CONFEDERATE FLAG, and he says that I cannot have MY CONFEDERATE FLAG.

I sit out, to PRAYER VIGIL in McKinney, TX. And if I cannot have MY CONFEDERATE FLAG, because the devil, et al., that they would be OFFENDED, then why can I have MY AMERICAN FLAG? Or MY "I BACK THE BLUE" sign, or MY "PRAY TO END ABORTION" sign, or MY MAGA CAP?

As The Supreme devil's court of the devil's shenanigans, as they scream that it is FREE SPEECH, to BURN THE AMERICAN FLAG.

The devil LOVES FREE SPEECH!

For the devil's lies, that is.

Otherwise, the devil HATES...
