Bresnan Bakery is truly a special place, and Jenna and Matt have created something incredible. The recent renovation, which increased the square footage and added a sitting area, has made it even more inviting. I have visited on both weekdays and weekends, and today, while sitting down, finishing some emails, I am reflecting on how the line to buy the delicious bread and pastries keeps getting longer and longer. As I line up, I pray to God that my favorite pastry isnāt gone when I reach the front of the line.
Despite the wait, what stands out most is the faces and the atmosphere, the customers waiting for their food or drinks, those lining up, and the ones sitting down, all happy and kind. A small confusion over a drink turns into an opportunity for love and kindness among strangers. Jenna and Matt have made this place so unique, it feels like a big family. I wonder how flour and milk can make this happen, but I conclude that itās really the team at Bresnan (an innate care for their customers) that keeps everyone coming back.
Can they be any sweeter? Impossible. They even ask if I want cinnamon powder in my latte, which adds that extra touch of thoughtfulness. Itās clear that every member of the team has been white-gloved chosen and trained to provide not just a delicious experience for the palate, but one that feeds the soul.
Even the music adds to the sense of warmth. Itās like the music is the last ingredient to this enlightening recipe called Bresnan. And despite the long lines, there are still tables available to enjoy this awesome place.
Bresnan Bakery is truly a place where love, community, and deliciousness come together. Itās not just about the food, itās about a spiritual experience, a place that nourishes the soul. And that, for me, is the true...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've seen the line outside of this place for years and finally checked it out! Despite the line, they are pretty quick and once you order it won't take long. There are a wide variety of pastries, savory snacks, and breads that sells quickly as the day goes on due to popularity and demand, so the earlier you get there the better! When they have sourdough left over from the day before they mark it down 25% off! That was super exciting to see as I've been wanting to try it, but also it's a HUGE loaf and I'm only one person. I've gotten a couple now when they were on sale and I immediately put half in the freezer when I get home. Really, I love trying everything on a menu and so far I've not been disappointed. I know some of the items would taste even better if I heated them up, I just don't have the patience lol. After 11, they sell pizza by the slice. When I came at that time it smelled SO GOOD even around the corner, and I'm really looking forward to trying it. They also have these coolers with sandwhiches, MEGA slices of cheesecakes, and more. It's a really neat place where you can see all the workers doing their thing (they stay busy cuz there's a lot to bake!!) Seriously, it's been hard to keep myself from going back every day.
Edit: the more things I try, the more I am in love. Added some pictures! There was this sandwhich that was marvelous and this fig pastry has beautiful presentation
More: bacon egg and cheese biscuit is where it is at. I specifically come during the week to get these! They sell out around 9:30am, so make sure to get their early. They are BIG. Photo does not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I love Bresnan bakery! This is another 6/5 stars. If you're in Mckinney and they are open, you must go. I promise you can't go just once. You will definitely be back.
WARNING They do sell out! If you want a specific pastry (or several), I suggest you get there early!! I highly recommend going in on a Thursday or Friday around 7 or 8am. You can get your treats for the day, and bread to eat over the weekend.
It's hard for me to list all of the things I love. First off, NOTHING I've tried is less than stellar. We love their: sourdough bread, chocolate bread (special occasions), pear pastry, omg the asparagus tomato pastry, omg the Kouign-Amann, monkey bread, cookies, orange cardamom roll, pan au chocolat, almond pastry, the apricot ginger scone, the other breads, the other pastries, the coffee!
The owners and employees are absolutely the most friendly. They're smiling as the work and interact with each other and the customers. It's a warm, happy place. It's so cool to see them prepping and baking while you are in a short line.
If I were to make a request, I'd love an olive bread without the walnuts. Even still, it's pretty good with the nuts. I'd also love a pumpernickel!! Third request: can they just get a drone to deliver one of everything, to me, like...
