Went in today to sell some of my clothes and look for some new work clothes for myself. Iāve shopped here before and have always had a pleasant experience. Today, when I walked in I was carrying my clothes in an IKEA bag, I was told current policy was the clothes had to be in a plastic container. I obliged and came back with the clothes in a plastic container. I shopped around for a bit waiting for my clothes to be sorted and determined I would wait in my car and come back. I was told it would be about an hour. I got a text about 20 minutes later saying my clothes were reviewed. I went back in and the girl told me they werenāt buying any of my clothes because they were junior styles and I would have better luck selling at Platoās Closet. Now, letās discuss the clothes I brought in. 90% of the clothes were from banana republic and express. All of which were pieces of Womens pant suits. Can someone please explain to me what juniors are wearing pant suits? š I donāt even think they went through my clothes, I think I was profiled when I walked in wearing shorts and a tee shirt with no make up. Iām fine that they didnāt want to buy my clothes but to say that they were junior style when they absolutely are not was ridiculous. Also, Iāve seen other reviews about the types of clothes they buy and who they buy from⦠Iām not sure they are really interested in buying current fashion trends or pieces unless you know someone that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had heard this place would pay cash for your lightly used clothing, then resell the items. My mother recently passed away, so when I was faced with the task of cleaning out her closet, I took her clothes (except what I thought was stained, damaged and not useable) to this shop. I had to leave my stuff for them to sift through and after a three hour wait they were prepared to make an offer of $33.00 for eight items out of an entire walk in closet worth. They then gave me some really lame excuses why the stuff is not good enough - for example, I was told my stuff was torn/ripped, missing butttons, stained, and just not useable. Meanwhile there were several pieces that still had the original store tags, or still pressed and wrapped in the plastic from the dry cleaners. They tell you this stuff, but wouldn't take the time show me. To top it all off the staff comes across as extremely rude and act as though they are better than you. I can promise you now, I will never venture into this store again, and I will never recommend this store to anyone unless they are wanting to know how to waste an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to sell some of my items and in meantime I looked at their clothes for sale. They sell junk, stained, poor condition clothes. But to my surprise they refused most of my items which were brand new and with tags. They only bought my worst items in the bunch. Weird. They even declined brand new, in the box, with dust bag Marc Jacob shoes retailed for $399. I asked for a reason and the sales associate seemed so lost. She asked the other sales associate and the other one responded for clothes being old and some stains. Mind you, the clothes were with tags still and no stains. The junk were selling in the store was full of stains. Also the sales clerks have no people skills for the job they supposedly fulfill. I, like another reviewer, suspect they didnāt want to carefully inspect my items based on the way I dressedā very casual as we are moving. One of them kept staring at me due to my vitiligo autoimmune condition and physical appearance . I almost told hey what I have so she would stop staring. I wonāt comeback to this junk store. Iāll easily sell my items online for better...
