GameStop — Local services in McKinney

Because of the construction going around its location it may be hard to get to. If you are taking the 121 get off an exit before Eldorado because the construction has the off ramp closed. I've been taking Hardin and Eldorado to get there.

The employees here are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. If you are unsure about how good a game is chances are that at least one employee has played it and will tell you if it's worth playing or not. In my experience they have never ripped me off and have even gone out if there way to help me when one of my game discs started to glitch in game and they gave me a free copy (even though I didn't buy the game disc protection). I actually work with one of the female employees husband at my job. I guarantee you that you will not regret going here to shop. The manager is awesome and I often stay and chat for a bit after I shop. They don't try to force their sales on you and even one time they scolded me a bit because I was buying more then I should have when I was supposed to be saving up for car insurance. It was great lol.

Update: Increasing to 4 stars. I was able to swap it out with another one (full of dust, but the fan worked), but I do think they should at least blow the dust out before reselling. Bought a pre-owned PS4 Pro from this location.

The Good: Very friendly employee who was very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions. Great location, very clean store.

The Bad: The PS4 Pro has a locked up fan and it overheats after a couple of minutes and shuts down. So either they only do a super quick equipment check before selling a used item or they don't do one at all. Now I am going to be out money ordering a replacement fan.

If you are going to buy a used console here, I recommend having them set it up and verify everything works for 10-15 minutes...

I went to this GameStop to purchase a simple Funko Pop for my ever growing collection when I noticed the cashier behind the counter. I quickly grabbed the closest figure, not caring which one, and rushed over to the register. There I saw up close the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life. I looked down at his name tag. "Harper", I inadvertently let out a little squeek and covered my mouth. He looked at me with his glistening brown eyes behind his dark glasses. "Is that all?" He said in a mild-toned manner.
