Eldorado Plaza — Local services in McKinney

I have had breakfast here many times and it is absolutely delicious... Today I picked up my 92-year-old neighbor who I used to live close to and took her on some errands and she had not been out to eat in a long time so I decided to surprise her with breakfast at my favorite breakfast place... Starwood Cafe... By time we got there however she wasn't sure if she wanted breakfast anymore so she looked at the lunch menu in the first thing on the menu was Ruben sandwich and oh my gosh we both went crazy I haven't had a Reuben in at least 5 years and she couldn't remember the last time she had one... So Rubens for both of us it was... First time I ate something other than breakfast and one I was very embarrassed because I told my dear 92 year old friend how wonderful this place was and two neither one of us could really eat or enjoy our Reuben sandwiches... The meat was so grizzly you could not tear it apart with your teeth... I thought I would let the waiter know how grizzly it was and he said he was sorry... So breakfast is wonderful there but do not order the Reuben sandwich because you'll be very disappointed... We were and I felt really sorry that lunch was a big disappointment so now I've got to make it up to her and take her somewhere else next time... I review as I see it... From my heart thus only three stars here and actually I would have given it less. The meal came to $30 with water...

I would say that Trader Joe's is just fine. Maybe a little overpriced here and there, but all together a nice place with a lot of good options (try the Ethiopian coffee, it's fantastic). It's a solid 4 stars as far as all that's concerned. The lower rating is specific to our experience with this location. The short story is as follows. After the mask mandates had been lifted in the area, both my wife and her mother on separate occasions went to purchase various things at different times. They where both stoped at the door and told to put on masks. Both politely declined and sited that the mask mandates had ended. After this, whomever was at the door said they Trader Joe's was only allowing one unmasked person at a time in the store, and rudly asked if they wanted to be that one person allowed in. Honestly, more than the silliness of it all, it's just how the whole thing was handled. I understand that people where still on edge, but the lack of kindness was inexcusable. Go ahead and shop here if it's close by, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way, there's plenty of other...

Eldorado Plaza got that classic neighborhood strip energy lowkey, convenient, and made for the quick pull-up. You got your food options, a few essentials, and easy parking. It’s not a ‘spend the day’ spot, but it’s a useful zone if you know what you need. Louie K’s Up came through, scoped it, and yeah we STAMPED it.”
