I visited this place with my daughter. First of all, I really liked the clean and beautiful interior of the restaurant. I ordered truffle yellowtail sashimi, sushi, and salmon sashimi. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the plating was beautiful. The truffle yellowtail, in particular, was so delicious that it left me wide-eyed in amazement. My daughter, who has a picky palate, ordered the chicken karaage, which was served with sweet chili sauce. She ate every last bite and said it was fantastic. It seems to be a great option for kids. Since it was just the two of us, we couldn’t try more dishes, but the rolls at the table next to us looked absolutely delicious. Next time, I’d love to come with more people and explore more of the menu. One more thing—the restaurant’s interior was impressive from the entrance. While I was taking pictures of my daughter with the decor as the backdrop, a server mentioned that they would soon be adding a photo wall. I will definitely return with my friends and my child to enjoy more food and take photos at the new photo wall!

This place is beautiful and clean, but that is about thing all I can say about this place that is positive. We got the all you can eat lunch special. The title is a bit deceptive. For two people it's only three items for three rounds. They make the food ridiculously tiny and the quality was just okayish. This is the first time I have ever ordered all you can eat and left hungry. There was also no staff in the front of the restaurant for over half an hour. 😅 Like, the manager left and all the staff went to the back. There was no way for us to order food or ask any questions. Our waitress and the chef looked miserable. We thought the 'three things' meant three items at a time. So it was a very awkward misunderstanding when we tried to order more food. Lol Anyways, I just couldn't recommend. I took a video panning through the restaurant, because I couldn't believe we were just alone. I can't upload it here so these are some shots from the video.

I decided to try this place after reading a glowing review about their hibachi, but unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. I ordered the veggie hibachi and a kids' meal, both of which were supposed to come with soup. However, when I received my takeout order, there was only one soup included. I called the restaurant, and the server, Ashley, seemed indifferent. At first, she tried to justify the missing soup, and then the call “disconnected,” according to her. I called back, only to be told I could come in the next day to resolve the issue. There was no apology or any real effort to make things right. As for the food, it was loaded with green onions, and the veggies had a strange aftertaste that was so unpleasant I couldn't finish it. I really regret not sticking to my usual spot.

Hibachi only review: I feel so bad giving this place a less than desirable review as the staff was super nice.. but the majority of our meals were not edible unfortunately. I got the chicken and shrimp and my husband ordered the filet and shrimp so we got to try a little of everything on the hibachi side... The first bite of filet was buttery soft and melted in my mouth- good start! .... The next several pieces of the steak had to be disposed of as neither me or my husband could chew them. He left the remaining visibly undesirable meat on his plate. The shrimp had a weird plastic taste to it so neither of us could really eat it.. we both gave a couple pieces a try but it left a horrible taste in our mouths (literally). Most of the pieces of chicken had weird gristle/texture and had non chewable parts running through almost each piece we tried... It had to be disposed of in the napkin as well. I really wanted to like this place and had high hopes from other reviews but from the quality of our meal, I don't think we'll be returning. Not at the top of our list of complaints by any means, but the "show" that was put on for us by our hibachi chef was pretty lackluster as well.. It's such a bummer when you spend good money on a meal ($100+) that you can barely eat and you take it home only for the dog... We were there celebrating an occasion so we didn't want to make a fuss, so who knows if management would have helped rectify the situation- but when each item on both of our plates (except the rice 😋) were not necessarily even edible, how do you even begin to have that conversation and not worry that it will just further ruin...

My family of four went to Zen on a Friday evening and were asked upon arrival if we had a reservation to which we said no. We have been here several times on Fridays and never been asked about a reservation. It seemed as though this was a burden and they were trying to fit us in even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. We ordered and the hibachi chef came out before we even had our soup and rushed through the “show” part of the meal. He didn’t interact with us or our two young kids aside from the standard fire and volcano and was in and out within probably 5-10 minutes. The portions were smaller than before and they had new menus printed and I think the prices may have been higher than they used to be. My husband ordered a sashimi salad and a sushi roll that didn’t come out until the rest of us were almost done eating. He did say it was some of the best sushi he’s had so I’ll at least give them that. Our waitress didn’t come back the entire meal. I had to stop another waitress to ask her to bring us drink refills and she also brought our check later. I had given our waitress a 15% off coupon at the beginning of our meal that was in the local Ad Pages which I assume they’re using to draw in business. I don’t know if they held that against us or what the deal was, but the service from the second we walked in the door was very poor. We go to hibachi rather frequently and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. We definitely won’t be back and will just stick with going to Kyoto where we always get...

Not sure where to start
we were seated at a hibachi table and it took 5 mins before we saw a waitress. We ordered our drinks - 2 soft drinks and 1 beer and 1 wine. We also ordered edamame and a couple rolls to start. The soft drinks arrived shortly after and we ordered our hibachi food thinking the drinks, rolls and edamame would be there while we waited for the hibachi
Nope. Our Hibachi cook showed up about 5 mins later which was before our beer and wine. We had to ask him to go get the drinks for us
.Then he started cooking the hibachi food and still no edamame or rolls. Our edamame and one roll arrived as he was finishing the fried rice. The 2nd roll showed up as he finished the vegetables. No onion volcano
no peepee boy
no train choo choo. Worst hibachi and sushi experience I have ever had and one time a hibachi chef flipped a flaming lemon at my wife accidentally
This was worse. Also, something bad happened in the bathroom as employees kept going to the bathroom area and spraying aerosol spray. This happened multiple times over the course of a hour
...
