This is a thorough review of the apartment from a current resident. I have honestly had so much trouble living in this building and would certainly not recommend it to anyone looking for space downtown. There have been so many shortcomings, but I will try to address just a few in this post. Several months ago a SWAT team literally broke into the hallway and stormed an apartment which had been reeking of weed for a while. Apparently they were looking for a murder suspect (allegedly not a resident) and tried to enter my apartment as well for some reason. Another time a few months ago when there were still limitations on gathering sizes due to COVID, Metro 67 decided to host a wedding. This led to literally about 100 people in the lobby taking all of the elevators. After trying to go up the stairs on both sides and finding them locker, I had to wait in line for 20 minutes before riding in a cramped elevator to my floor with 8 other people in the small elevator. My packages are constantly "lost" even though multiple different carriers say they were delivered. Another time, a perishable delivery which had been deemed "lost" was miraculously found 3 days after it had been delivered. I opened the thawed box to find several pounds of groceries which were rotting. After having lost several packages I am now actually getting my mail shipped to a PO box down the street. Homeless people are always sleeping in the parking garage that we park in. Homeless people ask me for money on the way into the building from the street entrance all the time as well. Homeless people both sleep and pee on the sides of the building. The limited fitness area has had more than half of the equipment broken for the entire 2 years I have been here. The last couple times I was downstairs literally not a single treadmill was working and probably 4/10 weigh machines were broken. They have an "interactive fitness room" which is supposed to have like an iPad where you can choose workouts from. This has been broken literally ever since I moved in 2 years ago. There is a movie theatre that can be used for viewing with the caveat that it has to be during business hours of weekdays. Like come on haha, who is going to use your theatre from 9-5 on a weekday?? Before COVID they were constantly hosting events that led to the rooftop being closed or tons of sketchy people filling the lobby. I remember one night they had some birthday party downstairs for a no-name rapper and there were actually over 150 people coming in and out of the lobby smoking cigarettes and weed at the front door. Other times they have events on the rooftop and so residents are basically bodied out from being able to use one of the amenities of the building. They also use the building for AirBnB rentals which I think is SO cheap of an "upscale" apartment. What this means for you, the resident, is that the lobby is often filled with people trying to bring luggage into the elevators and making you wait for the next one. This also means random people you do not know will be moving into apartments on your floor for a weekend of partying of gathering. All of this and they continue to increase my rent year to year and honestly it is not even competitive with the pricing for similar housing. I have lived in a couple other apartments downtown including radio center flats and court square center, so I am familiar with the downtown apartment market. I am a current resident and waiting for my lease to expire before I will be finding another apartment. For a single bedroom here, I am paying what I have found could be a 2 bed and 2 bath at comparable apartments both in quality of apartments and location of apartments. And in response to the inevitable "we have checked our records and don't see a current resident with your name", I listed my name as just "J D" because I am still a resident and do not want to be singled out while I still live here. Lastly, notice how many of the 5 star reviews are 3+ years old. This place used to be much nicer but for some reason has taken a severe turn...
Read moreI am a Chicago native who now works in TN. Coming from a home and a large city I was unsure where to live. After looking at over 20 properties in the Memphis downtown area, I made Metro 67 my home! Ms. Ali Burton played a major part in ensuring I had the right accommodations for my needs. This lady is simply a jewel! I am beyond pleased with my unit, the community and must importantly the security of this building. The resident floors are quite and residents are mindful and respectful of one another. The entire Metro staff: front office, surveillance team, maintenance team housekeeping team (Ms. Earnestine “Good Morning”) are the pinnacle of customer care and relations. The build is well maintained and attention to detail is adhered to. Building improvements are on going to ensure residents comfort and concern are promptly addressed. Metro 67 offers the best in complete luxury residency in the downtown Memphis. I say complete because of the amenities, front office staff and security presence. Other properties might be beautiful; but do not have the presence of a staff and security. As a female business traveler, that’s important to me! Metro 67 also is intentional regarding building community and maintaining it. There are many opportunities for our diverse community to come together. Aside from an on-site grocery store, everything you need is on property: movie theater room, state of the art fitness center, fitness center gym, community area, complementary coffee station, event space, sheltered access to parking garage, roof top with grilling station, and amazing views! I have found my second home in Metro 67 and it...
Read moreAbsolutely loved Metro 67! Lived here for about a year once I received a job in Memphis. When initially touring, they actually let me tour twice so that I could make sure that Metro 67 was a great fit for me. The office staff was super welcoming the entire time I was there from when I initially toured till the end of my lease. They work with you so well and answer any questions you may have. The office staff and maintenance would go above and beyond to fix anything that I had issues with. The building also has security that sits at the front desk that always makes you feel a lot safer especially being a female living downtown. They recently just updated all their amenities which made it so hard for me to leave but I bought a house. Definitely consider living here, there gym is absolutely amazing now with the new updates and their cardio room includes bikes for indoor cycling which was my favorite with Peloton follow along workouts. They also changed the locks on the apartments to keypads so rather than having to carry around a physical key you can just type in your code which was awesome especially for a girl with less-than-ideal pocket space. Everything is walking distance from this apartment and there is a Walgreens just down the street if you ever need to pick something up quickly. I lived in a 1 bed/1.5 bath, the apartments have a luxurious feel with granite counter tops and large bathtubs. It was the perfect amount of space for me, my fiancé, and our dog. Thank you to Ali, Cage and Emily for making our stay here amazing, I appreciate everything you all have...
