I enjoyed being there. Of course I went to the boat ramp to go fishing but its changed allot since years ago when I use to visit. The Belle is no longer there just a spot. Can still walk the river walk across under the Tram also. Or walk the river walk into the Museum. Has a big open area at the end of the peninsula and its just pretty all the way around. No matter the time of day its very peaceful. Feels wild because you can still see the city but have a place to seek refuge and feel like your away from it at the same time. The fishing in the river is awesome. Especially cat ! Have caught drum, gar, flathead, blue cats, monster cats !! Enjoyable place to take the fam for sure. Especially of your happy with the simplicity in life? Views of the city and Memphis Bridge are very good ! Great for taking pics. Allot has changed on river front also. Haven't been in awhile its something to check out. I have no complaints .. clean for the most...

Along the walking path is a wide variety of trees and flowers. I specifically love the wildflower gardens snaking throughout the park. And there are well-used bird houses. If you see a tree you like, look down! Many of the trees are labeled with bronze plaques.
I'm unsure of the laws, but it seems you are even able to fish from the Mississippi from this...
