While gallivanting through Memphis this week, my colleague, with the persuasive skills of a seasoned lawyer, convinced me to try the restaurant Flight, a culinary gem nestled on Main Street. Their website boasts, “Located in the heart of downtown Memphis, Flight offers multiple dining selections for a guest to enjoy in a single dining experience. Flight offers the finest service featuring a knowledgeable wait staff from which guests can gain valuable insight to enhance their dining experience.” Upon entering, I was greeted with such grandeur that I half expected a red carpet rolled out beneath my feet. I felt like a rock star who had accidentally stumbled into a fan club meeting. The hostess, with the grace of a diplomat and the warmth of a long-lost friend, led us to our table, ensuring our approval of the seating selection. It was as if we had been granted VIP access to an exclusive event. Enter Ella Dina, our server for the evening, who approached our table with the elegance of a ballerina and the confidence of a seasoned performer. She seemed to peer into my soul, discerning my culinary desires before I even knew them myself. It was as if she had been born for this very moment, her sole purpose to elevate our dining experience to stratospheric heights. As she expertly navigated us through the menu, I was reminded of the lyrics of the Black Eyed Peas, “Tonight’s gonna be a good night.” Overwhelmed by the cornucopia of delectable options, I decided to pass the baton to Ella Dina. She accepted the challenge with the gusto of a champion, selecting flights of wine, appetizers, entrees, and finally, the pièce de résistance, dessert and coffee. Her attention to detail was impeccable. Even when the entrée dish was presented, she subtly adjusted the plate to meet her exacting standards. Ella Dina’s spirit and attitude are a testament to the excellence of Flight Restaurant. Her presence alone is a reason to recommend this establishment. I don’t know her family, friends or co-workers but anyone who comes in contact will be blessed. Wherever life takes her, she will make that world better! As for the food, each selection was a symphony of flavors. The red wines were as diverse as they were delightful. The main course, featuring Diver Scallops, Veal Scallopini, and Boursin Stuffed Fillet, was a gastronomic tour de force. If pressed to choose a favorite, I would reluctantly nominate the Boursin Stuffed Fillet, with the others trailing closely behind. My colleague echoed my sentiments, singing praises for his selections. In conclusion, Flight Restaurant is not just a dining experience, it’s a culinary journey guided by the capable hands of dedicated staff like Ella Dina. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant....

We had a great evening at Flight in Memphis. The atmosphere was excellent—our table was in the wine cellar, which offered cozy lighting and a great music selection that set the mood perfectly.
Our server, Garrett (sorry if this is spelt incorrectly), was knowledgeable and attentive, able to answer all of our questions and guide us through the extensive menu and drink options.
We tried the Kings of Kentucky bourbon flight—definitely a highlight. The E.H. Taylor had a spicy finish, while the Russell’s Reserve stood out with a much sweeter flavor. The Italian Margarita cocktail was also great—sweet with a fruity note and a nice, subtle spice in the aftertaste.
The charcuterie board was well thought out. The sausages were amazing, and there was a generous portion of high-quality bread. The pickles and fruit were fantastic, though the game didn’t stand out as much.
From the small plates, the mashed potatoes were a real winner—creamy and flavorful. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. We also tried ostrich for the first time, which was interesting. It wasn’t a standout flavor-wise, but worth trying. The mac and cheese that came with it was very basic.
The Wagyu beef was outstanding—cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with a flavorful chimichurri. The ravioli dish had a creamy tomato-based sauce that was rich and delicious, although the meat was a bit underwhelming on its own.
The duck was another standout—tender, rich, and full of flavor, with a deliciously creamy mash that almost had the flavouring of a thick potato chip. One of our favorite combinations of the night.
One of the dishes came out which was bison ribeye, served with asparagus and a mushroom risotto. The risotto worked well with the lumpier texture , which worked nicely with the soft, sweet, and well-seasoned meat.
For dessert, the cinnamon cake with ice cream was excellent—warm and comforting with just the right amount of spice. The ice cream sandwich was okay, but a bit tricky to eat. The fruit sundae was a refreshing finish, with fresh, juicy fruit and whipped cream.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience with a unique flight-style menu that lets you explore lots of different flavors. Would...
Read more4-30-17 So we brought the family to Memphis to go to the zoo, we had such a good experience with Flight last time we wanted to try their Sunday brunch.
Man was it good...
All I can say is that the food and service were excellent once again.
Appetizers we chose the Deviled eggs of course... still one of the best bites of food I have had. We also ordered the smoked salmon appetizer. That one didn't disappoint either.
My breakfast I ordered - filet mignon Benedict, french quarter scramble, and the shrimp and grits. All were really good and had wonderful flavors.
The wife has the Benedict and scramble also but she went with the duck confit hash as her third option.
Since it was our daughter and her friends birthday weekend we ordered them the chocolate flight for desert... let me tell you.. I will skip straight to desert next time. The peanut shop brownie has to be one of the top deserts I have ever tasted.
Before we left we were already talking about ditching the kids and planning another trip for the adults to come back!

Planned a weekend getaway for the wife and I. She loves to drink wine. So I turned to the Yelp community to see where to eat in downtown Memphis.
We wanted to try a little of everything so when we got there and saw that you can order dinner in flights we were excited.
Appetizers we ordered the deviled eggs with corn meal fried oyster. ( one of the best bites of food I have ever had) we also ordered the souther sushi it was also very good but not near the caliber of the deviled eggs. For dinner my wife ordered the seafood flight which was very good. I mix and matched with the scallop Benedict (excellent), Redfish and cheese grits (excellent), Muscovy duck and sweet potato casserole (good) let me clarify my good... This dish was great but my duck was chewy, but that was my fault. I should have ordered the duck cooked medium well not just medium. The sweet potato casserole was amazing.
Was too stuffed for desert.... Over all excellent restaurant and be sure to ask for Kayla she was a great and...
