If I could give Cindy no stars I would. I took her two dresses in June I wanted altered for a wedding. She said they would be ready in a week. I returned two weeks later and they weren't done because she "forgot". I took additional tops, pants and dresses for alterations. When I went to pick them up, one of the original dresses that had cascading ruffles she was supposed to hem, was all uneven. One of the tops I picked up she ran a seam down it to take it in, did not trim or finish the seams, and charged me $10 for it! She did the same thing with another of my dresses. What kind of alterations seamstress doesn't finish seams they alter? I could have done that myself. All of the hems were sloppy. The dress with the cascading ruffles needed more work, including taken in, so I left it. I intended to pick it up but I called first to see if it was done, as she had promised. She didn't answer the phone and never returned my call. I was extremely busy and did not have time to drive there (45 minutes) until today. She had that dress for three months. She asked me if I wanted to try it on and I said no. After seeing what poor work she does, I didn't intend to go back. When I got home and tried the dress on, the pins were still on the sides she never took in! Also, she never fixed the ruffles and had the nerve to charge me $20. The dress is essentially ruined. I would give a zero if I could. My daughter just came home from trying to get her dress hemmed . The woman was very very rude, commented on how my daughter’s chest was showing too much and that the dress didn’t fit her which it indeed fits her . It was a long dress from Nornstorm that has a corset waist which snatches the waist in and my daughter has a chest which naturally will look curvaceous. The dress is not inappropriate and quite classy . The dress is a a size zero . The woman asked if my daughter gained weight. Tried to have her fitted without zipping and only clasping dress at the top which popped open because it’s a corset waist ! My daughter who is a petite young lady came home calling herself fat and was absolutely devastated by what this women said to her .My advice would to never send someone especially a prom or wedding dress to this place . And note that WORDS matter and how you act matters . I am shocked and floored at what just happened . I want to cry myself .o do not complain and do not give poor reviews but this is terrible . I went to Cindy to get the straps on my bridesmaid dress lengthened. It was for an October wedding, which I understand is peak wedding and homecoming season. I dropped it off in June or July and she told me I’d hear from her within 2 weeks. First week in October rolls by and I call asking if I can pick up my dress. She informed me that she lost it and was looking for it. After she found it and I tried it on, the straps were twisted. It seemed like my dress was either rushed or not that important of an alteration. I have basic sewing skills myself, but I didn’t want to go through the hassle.
