I purchased a Groupon for a massage package from Enhanced Movement as a gift for my special someone. It was a great experience and they really enjoyed the deep tissue massage! Great location and warm staff. He is really looking forward to the next massage and swear he feels like a new person. Also, Jeff, the massage therapist taught him stretching techniques for problem areas which is really useful for every day relief.

Of course, I sampled the services myself after such a good outcome. With a hectic schedule, breathing itself is sometimes something I forget to do! I finished a meditation class feeling more relaxed and yes my acid base balance felt more at equilibrium and I was able to clear my mind of mental clutter. After the meditation session, I began a massage therapy session with Jeff. He used four different techniques on me. I started out as a tense, scared shaking chihuahua but once he magically worked the knots out of my back, somehow my tension dissipated. The ashiatsu massage (he worked on me with all his weight using his feet) did something to me. I think I was reborn after that point. I'm constantly sitting in class and he offered some pointers on how to stretch at home to relieve tension in my glutes. I felt like I was still unwinding in layers after the treatment and spent the rest of the evening reflecting and strolling on the beach, which is located steps from the boutique style facility. I used two Groupons and the owner, Jeff, was very accommodating with my time schedule. One appointment was made for my mom and I. My mother raved about Anika and how much she enjoyed the massage, while I was with Jeff and he very thoroughly worked out the stiffness and knots from my back. Because of the beach nearby, we were able to extend our relaxing afternoon to an evening swimming and enjoying the sea breeze. I used the other Groupon for a 2hr massage which was just as thorough as the 1hr, including different techniques to assuage the pain in my lower back....
