Worst Yoga Experience Ever! I have been practicing the 26 & 2 Series (Bikram) since 2012 so I know what to expect from a class that any studio advertises as "the traditional sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in a heated room." Not only did the class not follow the traditional sequence and or postures but when I approached the teacher (Sean Patrick) and asked him about his flow, he got very defensive and told me that the class was not his own flow but rather the Bikram Series. At that point I truly had an issue with my experience. I get it, in the one hour class sometimes teachers and studios alike tend to slightly change things around because it is hard to fit it all of the 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in just 60 minutes, but if you are going to hold a 60 minute 26 & 2 class and have your teacher say that it is the "Bikram Series", as a long time practitioner I expect the class to be very close to the original series. Never have I ever been told in all of my 14 years of Bikram, that postures such as; rock & roll, sway the hips during the half moon warm up, only do chair pose positions 1,2 not 3, then go from warm up to the following order; standing head to knee, to balance stick, to standing bow, to standing straddle, to standing separate leg-head to knee, to triangle, to tree pose and floor. From floor we did a weird wind removing pose were he wanted us to push our knees away from our bellies instead of pulling them in, then a twist to the right and to the left, roll over and floor bow, the class ended there. Again I would have no issue with this if the class was not advertised as 26 & 2. Sean Patrick, I have attached for you a chart below. Please note that many of the 26 postures do have multiple parts to it and if you are going to say its Bikram then give us Bikram. Cheers and good luck to your studio with a teacher who has much to learn.

Hanu Yoga Studio has been such an incredible space for growth, community, and connection. The teachers bring so much passion and intention to their classes, creating a supportive environment for all levels of practice. The variety of offerings—from powerful flows to restorative yoga with sound healing—ensures there's something for everyone. The studio itself has such a welcoming vibe, too. I've seen such positive changes in myself, both mentally and physically, since practicing here. I recently completed a 100-hour Hatha training with Daniela Novati and I can genuinely say that this revolutionized my personal practice. I'm so grateful! Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, Hanu is a place where you can truly deepen your practice and feel part of something special. 10/10 Highly recommend!

Attended 1 class as an out of town guest. Sign up process was straightforward from their Website. Check in process was smooth. Apparently a front desk employee had apparently no showed for work but the instructor picked up the slack smoothly. Lots of up charges. $30 for a drop in. $3 to rent a mat. $3 for a water and I didn’t see a water fountain anywhere (there may have been one but not quick to find.). Classes like any studio are instructor dependent. Our instructor was fine but not a standout (yet … he volunteered to our class he was new to the game so I’m sure with practice he will refine his technique.). Studio was clean and look visually appealing.

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Phenomenal Stretch Class with Danielle!

Danielle’s stretch class was an amazing experience from start to finish! As soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the area was—so much more room than I had imagined. The welcome area has a cozy, hippie-inspired vibe, creating an instant sense of comfort and relaxation. Then, stepping into the classroom itself, the atmosphere shifts to something more modern, open, and brightly lit. It truly gives you the best of both worlds—a warm, inviting entrance followed by a professional, well-designed space to focus on movement.

What really stood out was Danielle’s teaching style. She has an incredible way of breaking down stretches and techniques so that they feel both achievable and highly effective. I love that this class wasn’t just about basic stretching—it was about using multiple techniques to work toward a split in a way that felt functional and natural. Every movement had a purpose, and the variety of stretches she introduced made it easy to find what worked best for my body.

Beyond just the techniques, the Danielle’s class itself had such a positive and motivating energy. Danielle’s approach is both encouraging and knowledgeable, making it easy to stay engaged and push past personal limits. It didn’t feel like a rigid workout—it felt like a refreshing, therapeutic session that left my body feeling amazing afterward.

If you’re looking for a class that combines expert guidance, a welcoming atmosphere, and truly effective stretching methods, this is it! Danielle’s class is perfect for anyone, whether you’re a beginner or someone looking to deepen your flexibility. I’ll definitely be coming back for more of her classes....

Green Monkey is an incredible studio with classes for everyone from yoga novices to yoga pros. When I lived in Miami, I had the unlimited package and went almost daily. Never took a single class there that I didn't enjoy!

For anyone new to yoga or looking for a relaxing class, I highly recommend Amanda Ray's "Slow Flow Restorative" for deep stretching combined with meditative mental exercises. This class helped me get into a meditative state, which is no small feat as my mind is always running. Amanda is a kind, patient teacher who will help you become fully absorbed in your practice in ways that I don't have enough words to describe!

For intermediate - advanced yogis, Luis Jimenez's "Power Vibes" class is an invigorating workout - you will sweat like crazy and have so much fun. Luis helped me access a number of advanced poses I had never been able to fully express in my body before, even after practicing yoga for over 5 years. He's super passionate about yoga and will go out of his way to help you get to your goals. His Slow Flow class is great too!

Other teachers I recommend - Kelly, Cassie, Virginia, Derek, Hilary, Funda, and Izzy.

I also want to commend Green Monkey for fostering such a welcoming community. I was always greeted with a smile by the front desk staff, and there are a variety of workshops, events, and activities hosted both within and outside of the studio.

Thanks for being awesome,...
