I am posting this as an update to those who saw my review on the hotels website. I typically travel as necessary, even during COVID so my reviews may seem cynical and austere because of this. Better for you so you know where to avoid spending your hard-earned money.
This was my 2nd stay here, with my first being the day prior to our cruise.
No FREE food is provided for guests but their sister hotel has a quaint restaurant on it's 1st floor that you can eat at.
THIS hotel has a busy bar/restaurant that comes ALIVE after dinner - but it feels more like they wait until you are in bed! Typically it is LOUD MUSIC (typical Miami club atmosphere) and is LOUD enough even 4 floors up in my room.
I believe they are competing with traffic noise coming from the large street below. On the 4th floor, you won't hear it over your TV news show but you will hear it if you shut-off the TV. I slept fine but I pity anyone staying in the 2 FLOOR'S immediately above the restaurant.
The hotel looks like a motel that was sliced LENGTHWISE so that it is only a row of rooms that face the street below.
I grew up in a noisy city so I always ask for a high floor to eliminate street noises. Thankfully this habit allowed me to get a restful night sleep.
After staying here twice I can confidently say ALL the rooms are the same layout AND the same size - veritable CLONES!
The room consists of a very short hallway entrance, with the separated bathroom on one side as you walk the hallway. Once past the bathroom door the walls open up to the main room.
The main room is about 12 feet by 17 feet or roughly 4 meters by 6 meters.
Opposite your entrance is a large Wall of glass that makes up the length of the room. It provides you with a view of the street below and a limited view of the skyline as seen through a few palm trees that flank the hotel.
This wall of Glass is covered (Thank GOD!) by two layers of curtains, one closest to glass being a BLACKOUT Curtain and an inner SHEER drape that obscure the views of your nakedness from the pedestrians below and the people in buildings across the street.
The Kind size bed in both rooms was parallel to the Windowed wall, the headboard being set against one of the narrow walls.
My beds were both the same - Firm and covered by a combination sheet/comforter.
One other downside to this rooms arrangement is that the thermostat is located by the front door and so it is far removed from the main room. This results in the room being Very cold when running Air Conditioning and Very Warm when using heat.
I found the fix was to SWITCH it OFF the COOLING MODE and switch to HEAT, Raise the temp to 70 and leave it there. When I was ready to sleep, I switched back to COOL and set it to 68. 68° F (COOLING) seems to be the hotel's default settings.
With such a large glass wall letting in the Sun's rays (and HEAT), IT comes as no surprise the setting is so low. You might do well to leave it alone or raise it to 70° to keep the Air Conditioning from freezing you out.
Remember this thermostat is a distance from the Room you are in and won't shut off when you feel it has reached the desired temperature you set but will go Past THAT mark.
The hotel is extremely convenient and is only 1 block from another major road that has many restaurants and retail business. They are a few blocks (or intersections) from the beach. One of the perks of this hotel is they can provide you with FREE beach chairs. Ask at front desk! Book during the week for...
Read moreAmazing views of Miami Beach and it's located right near Ocean Drive with a dining table and a working TV with a lot of channels. You can walk 5 minutes to Ocean Drive and hit the beach easily. There is also the South Pointe Park and it's pier after a 15-20 minute walk. They even gave a spot of a sunbed for free upon getting our room card. The black card is the room key, while the blue one is as far as I remember the access key for your sunbed on the beach. Walkability is great here, 5-20 minutes and tons of grocery stores, clothing stores, luxury stores, Best Buy, T.J. Maxx, Lincoln Rd, Washington Ave, tons of restaurants; whatever you say. Great nightlife of the city. There is even a bar right on the floor level built-in the hotel that you could order food chill hang out or anything else. Rooms are small, with great views of Miami Beach, you're either gonna see the Fifth Street or an unnamed alley if you're staying in the SUITE rooms. They also give you a free bike to travel to more places on Miami Beach. Walkability is great.
Unfortunately we had encountered some problems during our stay in this hotel, however the manager and staff was helpful to fix the problem. The refrigerator didn't work, bought a lot of groceries because we were staying for about 1-2 weeks in the hotel, however the day we woke up most of them were expired and all of them was just as warm as being outside. Then we noticed the may be bed bugs, as I had a lot of bites that were in a straight line that didn't exist before. Then we have caught cockroaches, tons of German cockroaches and their nymphs just wandering around the room (there were like more than 50) especially mostly located in the wooden drawers, not good at all to be honest.
On the bathroom, the sink was clean along with the toilet and shower however there was stains in the designated cracks on the rubber floor (they should be difficult to clean anyway, took a picture of them you can see though), and there was some rusty stains around however those didn't made a problem, it was just cosmetic issues. There was no silicone shower door leak guard, which flooded the entire bathroom during shower.
Thankfully though, the manager was very helpful and we switched the room to another. From 210 to 310, we have experienced the same problems except bed bugs, and the manager also allowed us again to switch the room from 310 to 410. And thankfully on 410, we have not encountered any problem other than some cockroach nymphs. It seemed like the problems were way less on the 4th floor where 400s rooms are. In some rooms there were also very few hangers on the clothing drawers however on room 410 we had more than 8 hangers for our clothes which was great. There are also a vault on every room, which is also good. Overall, considering it's perfect location in Miami Beach, free bikes, free sunbeds, and built in luxury restaurant bar, I must say it was a great hotel, however it needs a lot of improvements or a renovation for the rooms, it doesn't feel like a 4 star experience with...

This was one of the worst and most misleading stays I’ve ever had—and it happened during my birthday trip to Miami. While the room itself looked like the photos, everything else about the place felt cheap, cramped, and like a total scam.
When I arrived at 10 PM after a full day of flying, they tried to charge me an additional $750 at check-in, plus a $200 deposit. I paid the deposit, but when I asked what the $750 was for (since I had already paid online in full—and more than that), the staff just said, “Oh, we can check on that tomorrow.” No explanation, no receipt. It was never mentioned again once I questioned it. It felt shady and suspicious—like they were just hoping I wouldn’t notice.
The lobby was tiny, the elevator was slow and creepy, and the overall building looked nothing like what was presented online. The room was extremely small—so cramped I was tripping over my luggage. The bed was stiff and pushed right up to the door, which felt completely unsafe and exposed. There was only one outlet, hidden behind a desk in the corner, already in use by a lamp. And neither TV worked.
They advertise 24/7 front desk service, but when I went down to report the issues, no one was there. I told them I would stay the night and leave in the morning because I was exhausted, but I needed help. Still no support. I messaged the host before check-in, at check-in, and multiple times after—no response until late the next day, with no apology—just “We can move you to another room.”
After waiting hours, the front desk finally moved us to an “upgraded” room, which also had broken TVs, the room was even smaller even tho it had a large balcony. a bizarre lamp hanging from the ceiling tied by rope. I kept banging my head on it. It was supposed to be “artsy,” but it was just badly done and unsafe.
We ended up checking out and booking a new Airbnb that morning. The host refused to give a refund, claiming they needed 72 hours’ notice—even though they ignored every message and only replied after I had already left. Corporate didn’t care to reply.
Overall, I felt scammed and trapped—as if once they got my money, they didn’t care what happened after. The space was misleading, uncomfortable, unprofessional, and nothing close to what a guest should experience—especially not on a special occasion like a birthday.
Do not stay here. Don’t risk it. What looks decent online turns into a stressful, shady mess in real life. RUN. And again no...
