MONEY BACK CONDITIONED TO CHANGE A BAD REVIEW INTO A GOOD ONE. UNETHICAL AND DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!
We are resident of South of Fifth,
My 13-year-old daughter, yesterday using her hard-earning money, went to this store to make her acrylic nails, The job was mediocre, One person was doing the job, then suddenly and due to another client was claiming about something, the guy was attending to my daughter left her to go to the other customer, after some time, another employee came to finish the job, with non single instruction from my daughter and using not the colors she already chose and with the design that looks like made by a teen. Not professional at all. Late at night around 9:30 pm, the owner called my daughter to push her to come back and fix the problem. She, as a teen was frustrated and crying all evening at home. Of course, she didn't want come back. Even, though she went back to the store around 8:00 PM it was closed only to ask for a refund with my wife. Well. the owner insisted on the thin line between passive-aggressive and tried to push again and again that she must come back to the store to make the nails again. Of course, she didn't want it and just she was asking for the money back. Finally, this business owner agreed to give money back only with the condition that she changed the one-star review into a good or neutral one. She agreed to that, basically to get the money back $45+tax. She was frustrated because she was saving from small in-house jobs to pay for her nails. I'm not acting as a translator or storyteller because even I spoke with the business owner. and Insist. He was passive-aggressive trying to push my daughter to come back to fix the issue. The experience was bad because they switched employees in the middle of the job and that is something that never you should do in a business unless is there a real reason. Finally, he conditioned the money back to change the review. Unethical, practice misleading and using deception of the true to promote his business. and business like that are not good actors as a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe salon was clean. If your nail tech is the tall Asian man on the other side of the salon, save yourself a headache and ask for someone else. He just might be the worst nail tech I've ever encountered. He tried to tell me that 2 of the 3 damaged nails didn't need to be repaired even though the acrylic was clearly lifting from the nail. He then tried to repair it without taking the loose old acrylic off. When he tried to repair another nail was tried to leave it extra thick looking completely unfinished. I spoke up and stopped him before he could further ruin my nails and he said I was supposed to tell him how to fix my nails and that I want them even! What?!?! I replied by saying he is supposed to know what looks correct and if he doesn't know how to do something then he should've let someone else do it in the first place. I then asked for someone else to correct what he had done because I was finished wasting my time. My nails looked better before I got there with the broken nail! Thank goodness for Ruby! Ruby stepped up and immediately put me in her seat and fixed everything! She literally had to fix every nails shape and thickness and was very pleasant about. Ruby definitely saved this visit from becoming a total disaster. Thank you Ruby...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe last time I was here I was not happy but I didnāt want to go all the way to Calle Ocho for a pedicure. This time a woman who has been doing pedicures for 15 years was my technician. Sadly I couldnāt hear her name but she has three adult children and wears a silver charm bracelet from Pandora. She took her time and was very methodical. The salon itself is just ok⦠no water offered or coffee or ?⦠itās a low end spa and not cheap prices. I shared my concerns to the man at desk but he was rather nonchalant about it. But at least I had another technician who was very competent. I donāt know if I will go back but the technician alone would make it worthwhile. Her skills were an A but the salon itself is rather ordinary⦠I have included a picture for other men to see. A simple plain pedicure which included a simple foot massage. Towels here are rather cheap and limp. I always give a nice tip because menās feet are a little more difficult even though I go every 2 weeks. As a man this place needs to add some newspapers or magazines or something like that. Oddly it was a man who greeted me but many men might feel out...
