Absolutely the Worst Yacht/Boat Company – Stay Away!

If we could give this company zero stars, we would. We had a reservation booked and confirmed well in advance for my friends birthday and 13 others to celebrate her birthday — a special occasion that quickly turned into a nightmare.

Just 12 hours before our scheduled departure, the company canceled. THEO was Completely unprofessional and unacceptably responding to our messages. We were left scrambling with almost no time to make new plans, and it caused my friend a great deal of stress and sadness on what was supposed to be a joyful day.

The customer service was absolutely awful. Theo, the representative she dealt with, was shockingly unhelpful, BE CAREFUL- HE IS A SCAMMER! He kept her $100 and said it was not his fault his company dropped the ball & he was “just the middle man”. He made no effort to resolve the issue properly. When he finally offered an “alternative,” it was for fewer hours and more money — an insulting option considering the situation. He did nothing to assist in making things right, and my friend was forced to find an entirely different company at the last minute.

After begging him to return her money and then finally securing a boat elsewhere, he replied with laughing emojis and said it was not his responsibility. Instead of taking responsibility, She had to spend another three hours fighting to get the rest of her money back — even though the cancellation was 100% the company’s fault, not hers.

This company has no regard for their customers, no sense of professionalism, and absolutely no accountability. Save yourself the frustration and avoid them at all costs. PS- he kept the money but rest assured we will escalate to BBB, their business is awful and they will continue to scam ppl...

We booked a nice boat for the birthday of my wife. When we arrived at the pier at 2pm, there was no boat! Theo asked me to call the captain, call another broker, and the answer was unanimous - they hadn't actually booked the yacht, which at that moment was on a tour with different guests. The "alternate" boat they scrambled to get after some time was finalizing a morning tour and would arrive IN 1 HOUR AND IN A different marina! We had 2 kids, 2 seniors, and countless food and beverages with us that we had to scramble to bring back to the cars to drive to another marina to try to save the few hours remaining of sunlight. It was an extremely stressful situation, the opposite of what a boat tour should be, and I don't recommend Theo and his company to anyone. As a "compensation" for the mess, Theo offered a 5% discount, a complete joke. I had to fight over the phone with him to get 1 hour free, while any professional company would give you the whole day free or at least half (2h) free given they didn't fulfill the basics of having a boat for us! To add to the mess, last-minute (once we were already onboard and ready to depart, albeit 1h and 30min after the original time), Theo would not pay the captain for the 1h free and the captain refused to leave until he had been paid everything! So we stayed another HALF HOUR on the boat fighting with Theo, with his boss, and with the captain to have their mess sorted out so we could finally depart. What a reckless and unprofessional group of people! By the time we departed, we had lost more than 2 hours (it was past 4pm) and we had just 2 hours remaining of sunlight. RUN FROM...

Absolute SCAM.

I am writing this review on behalf of my friend that directly booked with this scammer as myself and a slew of our friends were all affected.

She booked weeks in advance and never received a contract only to be messaged days before stating that the boat she originally booked would not be available for use. She was then offered a smaller yacht with no attempt to compensate or offer any discount for the inconvenience or the fact that the boat itself was smaller. She accepted the change without difficulty and in good faith only to be messaged the evening before and have that boat become inoperational. The middle man/ sales person Theo whom she was in communication with i for ed her that the owners would only offer a bigger boat, for different or less hours for an ADDITIONAL cost of $400. The back and forth after that was appalling to day the least. An exchange of unprofessional behavior and no desire to help save this day that she was so looking forward to. I am disgusted at how this was handled, their business license should be revoked for the scam that it is. They “offered” a refund only to short her $100 with Theo claiming that it is not his fault and that should come out of the “owners” pocket.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LOW LIFE SCAMMERS.
