Dining at Mother Wolf was a mix of both good and not-so-good experiences. The Good: Our server, Ivan, was absolutely brilliant. He lit up the entire evening with top-notch service—attentive without ever being intrusive. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, he never missed the small details, which we truly appreciated. The food was also enjoyable. My husband had the handmade pappardelle with wild boar ragù, which was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I chose the beef tartare as my main course. While it wasn’t a traditional preparation, I really enjoyed it—the different textures in each bite made it very memorable. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, parts of the experience left us disappointed. First, although I had reserved a table in the main dining room, we were immediately led to a high-top table by the bar without being asked if we were okay with the change. When I reminded the staff about my reservation, I was told we’d have to wait for a table to clear. We honestly didn’t mind waiting, but the decision should have been communicated and left to us, rather than being made without asking. Otherwise, what’s the point of choosing a seating preference during online reservations? Second, when our table was finally ready, we noticed that most table for 2 were separated from the main dining area. One of us had to face the wall all night in a small space away from the main area and lively atmosphere. It felt like the prime dining room was reserved for larger groups, while couples were tucked away. For a Saturday date night, we were looking for not just good food and service, but also a great atmosphere—and this arrangement took away from that experience. Conclusion: Mother Wolf impresses with its service and culinary execution, particularly under Ivan’s care. However, its seating arrangements and handling of reservations undermine what could otherwise be a memorable evening. For those who value atmosphere as much as cuisine, these shortcomings may outweigh the strengths. We’ve had many wonderful dining experiences in Miami, and unfortunately, Mother Wolf just didn’t meet the mark for us.

A Truly Delightful Italian Experience – With One Small Hiccup From the moment we stepped into this Italian gem, we were transported—rich aromas, warm lighting, and an ambiance that made us feel like we were tucked away in a cozy corner of Tuscany. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was full of flavor, beautifully plated, and cooked to perfection. It’s clear the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing. We opted for the “tall table” experience—seating at the bar counter right in front of the kitchen—and it was such a treat. Watching the kitchen staff masterfully prepare each dish added a whole new level of appreciation. It did get a bit hot at times, thanks to the pizza oven and sizzling meats on the grill, but the energy from the kitchen was infectious. The entire team was not only focused and efficient, but also friendly—checking in on how we liked the food and genuinely seeming to enjoy what they do. Our server, Alex, was fantastic—attentive, personable, and super knowledgeable about the menu. He really helped round out the experience and made sure everything ran smoothly for us. Now, onto the service at the front—while most of the evening matched the high standards of the food and ambiance, there was one noticeable hiccup. Of the three hostesses, only Natalie (a tall redhead) stood out for her professionalism and warm welcome. She carried herself with confidence and made us feel instantly taken care of. Unfortunately, the other two hostesses, both shorter in height, seemed disorganized, unprepared, and at times dismissive. It was the only element that detracted from an otherwise flawless night. A bit of retraining in guest service would go a long way. Or, make Natalie the main hostess and send the other 2 to back of the house (dishwashers maybe). Rehire 2 new, well mannered and good looking hostesses. That said, we’ll absolutely be back—and we’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a beautiful, lively setting. If you want a front-row seat to the culinary action, the bar seating is the way to go.

We had high hopes for Mother Wolf Miami, but unfortunately, the experience fell short because of their rude and unprofessional service, We had a reservation for 9:45, but were seated 20 minutes late. To make things worse, our server, Felipe M, had the most pretentious and unprofessional attitude from the moment we arrived. He seemed frustrated that we weren’t ordering alcohol and got visibly upset when we didn’t follow his suggestion to order at least two or three dishes per person. We chose four dishes for four people (which was MORE THAN ENOUGH), immediately after I placed the order, he rudely commented, “That’s literally food for two people,” as if our decision wasn’t valid. Felipe’s role is to take our order, not offer unsolicited and dismissive opinions. Just as a tip: one dish per person is more than enough, and we found that two pizzas, one pasta, and one starter were perfect for sharing. Don’t be swayed by servers pushing excessive portions in hopes of a bigger tip, especially when the 20% gratuity is already included. The only positive part of our experience was actually the food, which was really good, and we sincerely appreciated the kitchen team’s efforts. Unfortunately, the extremely poor service overshadowed this and left a lasting negative impression. As a premium restaurant, there are certain basic expectations that should be met, and I hope management takes note to improve the overall guest experience. At the very least, the expectation will always be: 1. Don’t waste your customers' time. 2. Be professional and courteous. 3. Do your job, this includes taking orders without unsolicited opinions. If you are aiming to establish and maintain a premium dining experience, your staff should be trained to treat every guest with the utmost respect and professionalism. A premium restaurant is not just about the food but the entire experience, from the moment you walk in until you leave. Felipe M’s attitude, unfortunately, was a clear departure from these standards and definitely needs to be addressed.

Mother Wolfe in Miami is a true gem that effortlessly combines exceptional cuisine, ambiance, and service. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped by a stylish, cozy atmosphere, where warm lighting and chic decor set the perfect mood. The music selection was equally impressive, perfectly tuned to match the vibe and making the experience feel upbeat yet intimate.

The highlight of our evening began with the bar. A charming French bartender crafted some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Her flair for mixology was only surpassed by her delightful personality and attention to detail—every drink was beautifully balanced and refreshing, a testament to her expertise and passion.

As for our dining experience, Filipe, our waiter, was an absolute pro. He knew the menu inside out and offered recommendations that were spot on, guiding us toward dishes that truly showcased the kitchen’s talents. His timing and attentiveness enhanced our experience, making us feel genuinely looked after without being intrusive.

Mother Wolf Miami provided an unforgettable dining experience that perfectly balanced bold flavors and refined presentation. Our meal started with the Sfincione in Bianco—a wonderfully light and fluffy focaccia topped with rich, flavorful ingredients that set the tone for the night. The Insalata di Polipo was a beautiful choice, featuring chilled octopus with a mix of fresh greens, citrus, and aromatic herbs that made each bite refreshing.

The Prawns were another standout, served in a vibrant green sauce that complemented their natural sweetness, and the Funghi Pizza was a mushroom lover’s dream, with wild mushrooms and cheeses that made for a deeply savory dish.

We also tried the Short Rib Pasta, a rich and comforting bowl that offered melt-in-your-mouth short rib with perfectly cooked pasta, as well as the Clam Pasta, which was both delicate and brimming with ocean flavors. Felipe, our server, recommended we finish with the Branzino, and it was the perfect way to end on a lighter note. The branzino was grilled to perfection with a crisp skin and tender interior, creating a dish that was both satisfying and refreshing.

The ambiance at Mother Wolf Miami, with its warm lighting and well-curated music, created a cozy yet lively atmosphere that made the entire dining experience feel special. Felipe’s service and recommendations were spot on, adding a personal touch that made the evening even more memorable.

Mother Wolf is truly a gem, bringing together impeccable food, a welcoming vibe, and top-notch service. We’ll...

I was so happy to see Evan Funke open his first Mother Wolf restaurant on the east coast, especially in my home base of Miami! I have heard amazing things about his Los Angeles restaurants and was so excited to try his new restaurant here. If you haven't heard of Evan Funke, he's an amazing pasta craftsman- check out his Netflix Chef's Table Noodles episode to see how he came to be the chef he is today. It's a really great show!

For reservations, they open up 7 days in advance of your desired date at 9 AM EST. Saturdays are really tough to get reservations, so be flexible if possible. We dined on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet overall, but it was great because staff seemed to be more relaxed and personalized their servicing even more. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the host stand employees and were congratulated for our wedding anniversary. We then were seated in the main dining room promptly at our reservation time and were greeted by our server Isaac who came by with two glasses of complimentary prosecco to recognize us for our anniversary as well. It really was a nice touch and made us feel really special. We studied the menu and Isaac answered any questions we had.

We ordered a bottle of wine (bottles of wine started around $80), and the wine selection was very impressive and all good quality.

For appetizers we ordered the Sfincione in Bianco ($12) to start and the Fiori di Zucca ($28). Both were must orders, really tasty and flavorful. You absolutely have to order the focaccia, it's unlike anything I've ever had before!

For entrees, we had to order the pasta (Rigatoncini alla Vaccinara, $34 & the Rigatoni All'Amatriciana, $26). The pastas were all large portions surprisingly and all so amazing and hand crafted, you could really feel the love the the dishes! You absolutely have to order the pasta here!

For dessert, they had a very impressive menu as well - we ordered the Torta All'Olio D'Oliva ($15), and also was a very impressive creation by the pastry team and we were so happy we ordered it.

The entire experience at Mother Wolf Miami was very impressive, the staff from the time we entered from the time we left made us feel at home and welcome and celebrated our wedding anniversary with us. You absolutely have to try...

My recent dining experience at Mother Wolf in Miami was nothing short of spectacular, especially as we were hosting discerning VIP guests from Italy. Initially hesitant about bringing Italian elites to an Italian restaurant, our apprehensions vanished the moment we stepped inside. The hostess welcomed us with a warm, genuine smile and promptly seated us at a perfectly positioned central table. Our waitress, Elena, was an absolute Parisian gem—her hospitality and professionalism elevated the evening to new heights. Elena’s thoughtful menu recommendations guided our choices, and her suggestion of Monkey 47 gin paired with Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic and a lemon twist was a hit with our gin-loving group. The culinary journey began with Zucchini Blossoms stuffed with fresh ricotta and Parmigiano Reggiano, alongside Burrata Pugliese with Prosciutto San Daniele—both dishes were impeccably balanced and bursting with flavor. The Margherita Pizza earned high praise from our guests, who described it as “homemade” with a refined simplicity that showcased its deliciousness. The Rigatoncini alla Vaccinara, a short rib ragu with Pecorino Romano, was a thrilling explosion of taste. The Branzino alla Brace, a Mediterranean sea bass paired with fennel salad, was flawless, while the Bistecca Wagyu melted in the mouth with unparalleled tenderness. The Costata di Manzo, a 50-day dry-aged prime bone-in ribeye, was a standout, complemented perfectly by fingerling potatoes and wild arugula. We capped the evening with desserts that left us in awe: the Tiramisu was divine, the Banana Rum Torta with caramel was indulgent, and the Ciambelle Fritte with blueberry was a delightful surprise. Every dish was delivered with impressive speed, and the quality of ingredients was second to none. The open kitchen design paired beautifully with the luxuriously appointed dining room, creating an ambiance that was both vibrant and elegant. Mother Wolf exceeded all expectations, delivering an extraordinary experience that our Italian guests raved about. Elena’s impeccable service and the restaurant’s commitment to excellence made this an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended for anyone seeking world-class Italian...
