The Art Hair Salon and Nails SPA — Local services in Miami

You won't find a cheaper mani/pedi in Downtown or Brickell... believe me I've looked. You definitely won't get a spa style experience since this place is stuck in a 70s/80s time warp as is the Four Ambassadors building it's located inside of but if you want a bargain and a job well done on your nails I definitely recommend it. They don't really take very many walk-ins so I highly recommend making an appointment.

Side note: I don't recommend the wash and blow dry service. I had asked previously what the cost was and was qouted one price one day then went back the following week and they charged me $20 over the originally qouted price. I didn't like the feeling of being tricked and also didn't love my blow dry as it was left looking dull and shapeless. Not a pedicure spot. Technician was sweet but I will not return. No pedicure chair - you sit in a bad office chair in a small alcove. Feet are on a movable little stand, an awful setup for a someone giving or getting a pedicure. Obviously not relaxing or comfortable. Nails were not filed smoothly - I left with rough edges. Almost no soaking - my feet were in an inch of blue colored (!) water for just a few minutes.

Price on their site is $45 but I was told upon arrival that there was an extra $10 fee to remove the gel polish I arrived with. UPDATE - no surprise that the GEL polish started to come off after only a month. This is not typical, in my experience.

Brought my little niece in today to see if anyone could return her hair to its natural blonde after she had dyed it blue. Rafael was AMAZING! She has Downs Syndrome and needed some extra TLC and he was incredibly patient and sweet with her. She looked absolutely adorable when he was finished. I was so happy that I wanted to hug him! Not only is he a very sweet guy, he really knows his stuff when it comes to color and also gave her a ADORABLE cut. I don’t live in Miami but I certainly think prices are probably much higher in other parts of town. I am going to make sure her Dad continues to bring her here so Raphael can do her hair.
