STATUS Hair Salon - Brickell — Local services in Miami

Will start from the end: Very disappointed. Bad experience. Deceitful, not professional, bad service. Very expensive, no value for money.

I searched for a good salon for quite some time, loved their works on IG and before scheduling, I checked carefully their prices on their website for a few services I needed to know what to be ready for and DM them on IG that I would like to schedule. They answered that we would need to split it for 2 appointments and scheduled me for the first part. I live far but I thought it will worth it. First part - extensions removal and a treatment specially chosen by my hair stylist for my hair. My hair stylist was great and professional, had no complaints.

All good until I came to pay for the first part, and I had TWICE the bill that was suppose to be, relaying on the prices I saw on their website . I was very surprised and uncomfortable to ask questions and just paid in shock. Asked about the pricing of the second part (extensions ++) and again got double prices from what I remembered from their website. Said I’ll schedule later.

Paid cash. After I left I saw I got a a check for 0$. Nice 😌

Then, I entered their website to check myself and indeed I remembered the prices correctly. When I texted the administrator/manager (not sure), and said I was surprised by the bill and referred her to their own website - she answered that it’s the prices ONLY if you’re booking on their website for new clients. I was like, what the hell, I’m a new client who checked on your website and DM you right after, plus: it’s not written at any place that this is the prices are ONLY if you’re booking there. She replied there is small letters that saying that, somewhere on the bottom when you keep scrolling all their services and need to forcefully search for some small letters you don’t know that exist……….

Okay, super deceiving! But it happened, let’s find a fair, honest solution. She said she can do NOTHING. She didn’t try at any way to solve the problem, knowing the client left unhappy and has a good reason not to be, it was deceiving and the handling is unprofessional! The same client suppose to come to the second part & to waist another 2,000$ in your salon just for your work, and you just leave it as is, not trying to find a solution? Where is your troubleshooting skills???

That’s it. After this experience, and this non-professional approach, I decided it’s better for me and my money to find a better, more honest & professional place. And I did.

I didn’t leave a bad review then, even if it was super frustrating and I think the administration lacks in skills, just cause it won’t worth the time & bad energies, right?

And I wouldn’t leave it now, 2 months after, if only the treatment I did for DOUBLE the price of ANY other great salon here in Miami, that was supposed to last for 6 months (as the hair stylist told me), wouldn’t completely disappear two weeks ago, after not fully 2 months when of course I did everything by the book (sulfate free shampoo and etc.)

• The removal also costed twice the price then the maximum amount in ANY salon I found (and I found a lot).

Very disappointing. Totally bad experience. There is A LOT BETTER, PROFESSIONAL and price WISE salons to go to. Not recommend at all.

P.s : they giving you some discount for next time if you write them a good review so don’t believe all this...

I’ve been to this salon many times for hair and had a great experience. Most recently I went for gel manicure to Tanya - I have long natural nails and when I was asked if I want hard gel or some other special coat I wasn’t sure if this is what I usually get as I never had had this question asked and always got hard gel (which I found out later) by default given I have long nails. I told technician I’m not sure but I ll do whatever she recommends to keep my nails in shape for 4-5 weeks like usual (she removed a coat of hard gel when she was taking off my last mani). She didn’t confirm what she will be doing and finish manicure with just gel. I broken my first nail in 3 days and the rest of my nails felt flimsy and like they will break in the next couple of days. I came back to fix the nail that broke and told her that I felt like all of my nails will break soon and what can be done to prevent it if maybe we need another coat or something else. She said she now recommends hard gel and recommends repainting all of the nails, after she took off full gel from my left hand, someone from front desk came and notified that I ll be paying another 50% on top of what I paid for the first time for hard gel manicure. After that the nail lady gave me so much attitude during the service that I felt uncomfortable receiving it - but couldn’t leave as this is pre holiday and this is the only time I had to take off work to redo the mani. Overall very poor experience, paying double for the decision of nail lady to go with gel only given her 15 years experience in the industry and no other technician before her didn’t do just gel for my long nails. I ended up paying $200+ and wasted over 5 hours of my time for one mani with traffic and parking. But most terribly, I felt like I haven’t received a terrible service and attitude like this during my 5 year of regularly attending number of beauty...

I put 5 tape extenstion they said 10 tape mean s 5 sndwich 150$!! 30doller each 😨 Over price . .... im not,poor buy i cant aford it and i never had expriance 5 tape hiar extenstion. Cost me 30 $ for 5 tape they call sandwitch means 10 one tape ... 😨🤣 Im not rich but im not poor . Im was back thare to ready for 700-800 doller for next hiar extenstion. But no way will ask me 70peace means 140 ... 70x30 2100 plus hiar stayilst fee 2500 $ good luck with that... wow i feel like blonde manegar and bule eye young guy had diffrent price she offar 680 for make midium hiar to long hiar for 70 peace they didnt said sandwitch count dubble peace . Watch out bussiness

Next day Corne he call me but dont let me talk to manegar. Automatic taxt message they offar free treatment same guy call me i told him let me talk to manegar bcz if wear u arrenge price is real not 680 + 200 for make middum hiar to long it 2500$ i need ask har .but he dont ever let me talk to har .... that why im post here to she s contact me but i told him i need speak manegar not u. U charge me 30doller at pc we need talk but he said ok then hang up then never answer Automatic reply ask me free teatment i dont need this for make deal for dalete this post Manegar and onwer must know he s was very disrespect full wear he call me to i ask talk manegar not u he said ok then hang up and block ..... how we gonna talk w female manegar ?
