I have to be completely honest. I have struggled finding a hair stylist for a very long time. I have longer hair and as a guy it is hard to find other guys that know what to do with it nor how to properly treat it. When I can hear it was a hail marry and I am so glad that I did it. Mandarin SAVED my hair I completely changed styles and it was amazing! She treated my hair with care and she took care of the entire process. She even recommended me product which she used! The shop is STUNNING a very healthy environment close to good food spots and coffee spots. I left here happy and I have since returned and I am excited to get my next cut as well! If there was one thing I was worried about when I moved to Miami from NYC, it was who was going to cut my hair and groom my dogs. I got lucky with both! I've been going to Jose Hernandez since I moved down here. And thank god I found him or I'd be lost and really just unkept. Who likes to be unkept and not cute? Not I. Jose knows his stuff. I know I drive him a little nuts at times when I get indecisive or just decide to shave all of it off every 2 months or so, but he has patience and he just laughs at me. Like most of my friends and family, so it was meant to be! He knows his fades that's for sure! And the shop itself is great. Everyone is friendly and personable. The music selection is quite fun too. I absolutely love this salon: Wynwood Hair has the coziest, most inviting atmosphere of any of the places I’ve been to in Miami. I had my hair cut and colored by Laura about a month ago and she absolutely transformed my look. I requested a custom “mushroom brown” color I’d imagined in my head, and she brought it to life so perfectly just from my descriptions! Laura was extremely methodical throughout the entire cut and color process, making sure I knew exactly why she was making certain stylistic choices for my hair type and health.
