Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Middletown

Since I've been back and because of inflation I don't go as much as past times it is nothing like it was it is not noisy when you're trying to order through the drive-thru. The order is correct you don't have to ask for what is essential lids spoons the cup holder it's already being put together by the young man I've dealt with every single time he's so professional and he just does what anybody in that situation working there would do. Pulling up to the drive-thru with the noise Factor being so loud it sounded like screaming and the people who are getting paid to work are talking so loud behind them it was so unprofessional and it lasted for a very long time. Every single time and I'm not kidding my order was wrong. Not until I went back I would say about 3 months ago my order was right I didn't have to ask for lids or strolls or spoons or a cup carrier it was done and that was not the case in the past times in 2022 and 2023 . I've dealt with the same younger man at the window he is an African-American male he's a big guy I would be floored if he was in a football player, I wouldn't ask that but he is very professional he is very polite he knows what to do when he's not clowning around he's great and he's not always the one taking my order but he's there at the windows. Definitely one of the reasons why I returned. He's everything that Dairy Queen was missing in pastimes especially 2022 2023. I mean it's unexplainable and crazy that an establishment let their employees because there had to be complaints I kid you not I never ever drove away with the right order not one time. And this is how they would respond it doesn't matter if it was male or female boy girl white black it doesn't matter Asian Indian what say it again what you say well I would be like well first and foremost if you could tell the people behind you you can't hear what the person's ordering I would never change I was like this is insane people get paid to just stand around and like this is so unprofessional it wasn't just there like at Walmart it bothers me why are anybody being paid to stand in a circle while you shop put it in the cart then you scan it yourself they don't have anybody at their lines it's outrageous also check out it's so despicable two cars and then they actually tried to say someone was stealing are you joking like you wouldn't have left if you had employees working at the register but that's their policies. Walmart is it for the fact that they're getting mounts and mounts amounts of theft will have workers work at the register instead of self-checkout like what do your employees get paid for and it's not even their fault it's the establishments false 100% self-checkout is for on the go easy peasy not let's have two cards of stuff Walmart complaints of there's too much retail theft okay well you have no one working out of register your customer is getting a car wiping it down shopping putting it in then let's go in line no you got to do that yourself too scan everything put it back in the cart bag it pay for the bags walk out load your car what are you crying retail...

I gave the franchise in Middletown Delaware one star because it won’t allow me to give a negative zero‼️ *please excuse typos and brevity... let’s begin My most recent disappointments happened less than an hour ago. I’ve been craving a banana split for a couple weeks. My husband and I’ve had senseless mistakes/laziness with 95% of our visits so I was apprehensive about giving them another penny of our hard earned money. Anyway; my just came home with my “banana” split. They ran out of bananas, so I told my husband to have them make it without it. (The person said there sending someone to Walmart to buy some) I did not want my husband to wait for them to get them either. Sadly he had to get out of line and park elsewhere because they were running behind for some reason. Skipping to the complaints once I got my split... (remember no banana) the peanuts they put on top were whole peanuts with the skin still on it. that were VERY salty. Overall the worse banana(less) split I ever had. My husband ordered a funnel cake.. it was the texture of a pretzel. I’ve been a lover of Dairy Queen in Illinois since I was a child. I’ve never had so many issues with anything I order. anywhere at any franchises in Illinois. I would’ve called to complain but the last time there was an issue with my food (I went through the drive-thru) approximately 3-4 weeks ago.. the staff stared me down and did not remedy my issue. Out of the approximate 10 times over visited this establishment in Middletown, DE I’ve had something wrong with at least 8 different visits. That unfortunately is NOT an exaggeration! When they first opened they almost sent my husband into an Anaphylaxis shock. He had them remake his blizzard more than once while he was there and they still made it wrong. This place does not deserve to carry the Dairy Queen name. My love for their products brought me back after every incident. There used to be a full service Dairy Queen in Zion, Illinois. It was shut down and put out of business because of the racist owner. From the young lady’s degrading visit to the closing of that place was no more than w week. The power of word of mouth is incredible and I’d hate to share all of our experiences online as a warning to people. I’m sure no one will contact me to remedy this-they’ve shown me time and time again that my support does not mean anything to them. Sadly we threw our order away-again. Although many jobs have challenges regardless of what you’re hired to do...I can’t belive that any job at that franchise requires rocket science or that the job(s) are that complicated that most of the orders are not...

Worked here for 4 months (From Sept 2015 - January 2015). Literally, the worst staff I have EVER worked with. We had a new General Manager, who we found out was texting one of our 17 year old crew members, talking about ALL of the other staff. Mind you, this 17 year old crew member would go around calling all the black people n*. Not only that, she would also curse non-stop, even cursing at the managers, but nothing was ever done about her. One day she even called me a "black b" and I told her to come outside and say it.. yet I was suspended for a month and she had NO punishment whatsoever! Needless to say.. that GM was fired and so was the girl.. months after I quit in January. The managers SUCK! My sister (22) is still at this (she is 6 months pregnant). She usually works 8 -10 hour shifts and was told she cannot take a break to eat; breaks are only for underage staff. One of the young ladies working there, who was also 7-8 months pregnant, was fired.. the manager said "she was useless since she was so far in her pregnancy". Now.. my sister missed a meeting last week and was fired.. yet other people have missed this meeting and were not fired. Oh yeah.. 2 of their employees do heroin in...
