Kohl's on it's corporate website under the "Corporate Responsibility" menu has a section for "Environmental Sustainability" and "Community Partnerships" I am in the pre-owned store fixture business and was in the Kohl's in Midwest City, OK yesterday where they are doing a remodel project, they were going to be doing away with quite a few glass display cases which I offered to purchase, one of my companies missions is to repurpose fixtures that do not need to end up in landfills, the manager Christine I believe misled me by asking me to call the store at 8:30 to talk to the night manager Lizzy knowing full well that the stores phones shut off at 8:00 so that you can't reach anyone, I drove to the store and talked with one of the construction crew and told them I would love to purchase and pick up the items to help keep them out of a landfill, I gave them my card and asked them to give them to Lizzy and have her call me. I never received a call so early this morning I drove by the store to find (2) forty yard roll-off trash containers filled with these displays, see attached pics. presumably 80 yards of glass, metal, wire, laminate and wood that will take centuries if ever to decompose. I would have paid the store hundreds if not thousands of dollars for these items, it would have taken far less time for me to pick them up then they spent getting them into these trash containers and for what reason? I reached out to Christine this morning and she would only answer my questions with "No Comment". I have also tried to reach Nick Jones, Chief Merchandising Officer over Kohl's with no response. There is nothing proprietary about these displays as I have purchased them from other Kohl's stores in the past. Can the public or a member of Kohl's executive team please let me know why this company which claims to try to improve on it's Environmental Sustainability would rather place 80 yards of material into landfills instead of selling them and generating revenue for the company while helping out a small local business which also helps employee fellow...
Read moreI decided to treat myself to a couple of items that I have been wanting for a while now so since today is Mother's Day I said why not? I get there as soon as they open this is purely accidental just good timing on my part. When I walk in the door I am offered a cart by a nice young lady named Aereal ( don't know her name at this point) she proceeds to tell me that is it sanitized so I take it and thank her.
I head directly to the department I am looking for and start to shop around and look at the purses. I see a couple that I like but not in a color that appeals to me. So I decided to leave that area and go to the pillows. I want to buy two of those king size pillows for $19.99 but or for sale for $9.99. I then see Aereal (this is when is look at her badge) and ask could she please check for me if they are really out and she so nicely does and they are out but she says that I can order them from the kiosk. At this point I must make a face because she tells me that she can get somebody to help me. I say because I really don't like this kiosk but I know where it is and she calls someone to assist me.
I get to the kiosk and Ahmya meets me there she ask me what am I looking for? She basically does everything except put my information in she even picked up my debit card off the floor for me when I dropped it pulling it out to pay. I think that was super sweet and went way up customer service. Then I was telling her about my purse issue she walked me back over asked me about a couple of them and found me an alternative color on her handy dandy...
Read moreThis store has horrible customer service. I purchased a toy on-line for my sister's grandchild. Kohl's on-line sent the wrong item. I called on-line customer service and was told that my sister could take it to her local store with the packing slip and they will give her the correct item. Instead she was accused of theft and the police were called, even though she had the packing slip and text from me with the order number and pictures of the items ordered. The associate at this Midwest City store should be FIRED!!!
I spoke to a store manager by the name of Melissa who denies the incident took place and that they are not allowed to call the police. I find it hard to believe my sister made up the story. Melissa claims she is the one who assisted my sister. My sister says two other associates were involved and Melissa stepped in to resolve the problem. As I explained to Melissa a simple call to your on-line department would have cleared up the whole matter verses calling the police! I made 2 calls concerning the wrong item...
