I was there on 10/25/23 I shopped in literally every isle and was there for just over 2 hours. They seemed so friendly and helpful- I was asked about 5 times if anyone could help me. I think they had corporate there or a training group or something). I was in and out of the same fitting room several times, as I had about $400 worth of stuff I wanted to buy. A girl got me a rack to hang stuff as I had too much that I wanted for the fitting room plus things I didn’t want. Every time I came out she would say do you want these or should they go back (which I thought was great service) I had accumulated a rack of stuff that I was purchasing, just outside the fitting room and she still asked every single time and I kept saying, “yes, this is what I’m keeping”. When I was finally done, I come out and everything was gone, so I asked her if she had put them at the counter, she said “put what at the counter?” I started describing the items and she found 1 but she said “oh, someone probably put them back”, with a smile as if she was being friendly and she had never seen me before. I said, do you know where they put the different things, she said no and just kept working on whatever she was doing” I looked for a bit but nothing was on the racks I got it from so i said nevermind, it’s just really frustrating because I just spent TWO HOURS trying all of it on. She literally said nothing, just kept walking around with a smile on her face like a robot. Then I take the couple items in my hand to the counter where a different girl who knew what had just happened said “will this be all for you?” (Of course with a polite smile) I said “yes because everything I’ve picked for 2 hours is now unfindable”, she said “ohhh” and started ringing. I said “you know whats even more frustrating is that NOBODY has even said “I’m sorry”! She looked down and finished ringing me out. I paid & said “I am not blaming you for what happened but I just told you that nobody has even said I’m sorry and even then, you don’t even say a simple “I’m sorry”!! Not 1 person even acknowledged what had happened… i felt like I was in the twilight zone, and everyone is just smiling away!! It was equivalent to a waiter spilling your dinner on you and then smiling and saying “is there anything else I can get you?”, with a cheerful grin… crazy!! What stinks is that I was so excited to have found the place and had found so many good things that were even new with tags on but it made me so upset that I’ll...

I dropped off a bag and was given a 45 min - 1hr wait time. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER they hadn’t even started to sort through what I was selling!!! They told me it would be another 45 minutes, making my wait time OVER THREE HOURS when I was told 1 or less. The girls working here STILL need a lesson in customer service. They stand around and talk to each other instead of working and then get an attitude when customers check on what’s going on. I will not return to this store for buying or selling. If you’re thinking about checking or Clothes Mentor, please do yourself a favor and go to the Upper Arlington location even if it’s a little further. The girls there are sweet and helpful and work hard and get things done quickly and efficiently if you’re selling.
This store is large and easy to find, which is great. They seem to have a pretty good selection of clothing in a range of sizes.
However, the customer service at this location is TERRIBLE!!! I sold some clothes here and although they bought almost everything, the girl working did not speak to me or give any eye contact when cashing me out. She spent half the time talking to another employee about what she was doing this weekend.
She also literally threw my bag with the 2 items they didn't accept on the counter without saying a word when I was leaving and walked away. The store wasn't even busy!!! No thank you, no come visit us again, nothing. They literally bought over 30 items from me; you'd think they could be friendly to me if they wanted me to sell there again.
Also, I decided to browse the clothes for a bit to see if there was anything I wanted to buy, and another employee asked me if I could stop looking at the dresses I was looking at because she was trying to put dresses away. So rude! Anyone who works retail knows that you politely work around the customer. It wasn't busy and I wasn't lingering for a super long time, she should have waited or politely said excuse me. Seriously horrible.
I would say this store is not worth selling to because of the rude customer service. I might come back here to shop, but I'm even second guessing that. This store could take a lesson in customer service from the Upper Arlington store! The girls there are sweet...
Read moreMy Mom went here today (New Years Eve) at around 2pm to sell some of her Mother's (My Grandma's) clothes that passed away a month ago tomorrow. All of her clothes are from Catherine's and in beyond perfect condition but my Mom and I just really wouldn't wear them so we thought we'd sell them to someone who would. Anyways they made a comment to my Mother stating, "You do know we close at 6pm today, Right?" And it was only 2pm. So my Mom handed her her bag and they took approximately 2 minutes to look through her things and she offered my Mom $3.00 cash for one black top which conveniently was the shirt on top in the bag. So I don't know if they were just not wanting to look through clothes today or just trying to make a point since they don't want to be there because it's New Years Eve. But what kills me is one of the shirts in this store was one of the same ones in my Mom's bag, From Catherine's, Selling for $18.00 but because you are closing at 6pm today, You can't look through my Mom's bag? All I know is you as the owner or whomever I may be getting a response from should probably consider hiring people with excellent customer service skills because what just happened is plain embarassing. We originally live in Cleveland but since my Grandma passed, My Mother has been staying with my Grandpa in Columbus and your store was just convenient for my Mom but I guess she will just have to continue to bring the things she wants to sell to Cleveland because the women at our Clothes Mentor aren't nearly as rude and the last thing my Mom needs is to deal with some rude females that just want to get out of there because of the holiday. Honestly we both would have had more respect if one of these females just said that and would have suggested my Mom bring the clothes in a different day to be looked at. Also- You guys are selling Michael Kors puses for $120 and above. Just thought I'd share that I can go to TJ Max/Marshalls and get a BRAND new one for $99-$110. BRAND NEW. Not used. But ladies, My whole point is here that you work at a resale shop. Please stop acting as if it's something more than it is and try being nice/polite to customers and give them a nice experience especially someone like my Mother so I don't have to sit on Google and give a store a bad review for the whole world to see. Have...
