This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a Once Upon Child of any location in Columbus, Ohio. My boyfriend and I dropped a box of clothes off on a Tuesday morning to be looked at, and were told that it would be a 2 hour wait. Although I was a little surprised at the wait as I have never, even at the busiest hours at any other location, have had a 2 hours wait (again this was on a Tuesday morning when there were probably 2 people in the store, and about 2 other boxes waiting to be looked though). So we looked around for a little while and then left to go to Easton. We came back around 1:30 in the afternoon (well past 2 hours from when we left the items there) and were told they were still not ready. Although I was a little annoyed it was fine and I asked how much longer they thought it would be. The girl rolled her eyes and said "I don't know it'll be a while". So my boyfriend said lets just go home and we can come back tomorrow morning to pick up the items (since you have until close of next business day to pick them up). So we get there this morning and they offer us 90 cents for two of the items?! I get it they need to sell them back cheap and they need to make a profit, but ARE YOU SERIOUS?! 90 cents after 2 trips back, and not sticking to the time frame given???? HORRIBLE customer service. I will never shop there again or bring anything...
Read moreI wish I could give 0 stars. My son grew out of his coat needed for an evening event and it finally got colder in the evenings. I was worried an Amazon order might not make it so I stopped into this location on my way home from work. The guy at the counter wouldn't help of acknowledge me and made a visiting employee do it who was having system issues...then helped a man who came to the counter. Really nice sir. The woman who was very kind but in the chaos of a different system didn't take the ink tag off.
My drive from my home is about an hour back and forth called the store and the employee Jhulee literally told me if I wanted the coat I had to come back. I asked if the would give a discount or reimbursement for my time and gas and she became short and rude. Then gave me to manager/supervisor Melissa. Melissa was understanding to the situation but said she'd have to talk to store manager Lisa who would be in the next day and took my info.
Just left there...neither manager in, no call back and the employee at the counter and today's manager didn't care I was upset or had a problem they took the tag off and went back to their tasks.
So if you want a quick cheap option beware because Once Upon A Child mocks the value of your time, gas and doesn't hold employees accountable to help customers. Facebook selling walls or Amazon are by far a better deal and...
Read morePreviously I would have given this location 5 stars, no questions. I have visited the store many times, both buying and selling. Prices of their toys have increased significantly over the past year, but every once in awhile, I can still find something.
My main issue is with my most recent experience selling to this location. I brought in a full tub of Thomas trains, tracks, and several playsets. I went through every piece before placing it in the tub to make sure nothing was broken or dirty. I was surprised to hear my tub had been processed several days earlier than promised, and when I went to go pick it up I had been told they did not wish to purchase anything. Disappointing, but I'll live. My main issue is that it was clear my tub was barely looked through. The playsets were still balanced in the same way I brought them in and nothing under the first layer was moved. The employee could not give me a specific reason the toys were not accepted. On the receipt, "well loved" and "battery corrosion" were checked off. I double checked again once I got home, and every piece was clean and unbroken, and the 2 sets (out of many) that had batteries worked well with no corrosion. Even if there was something wrong with a few pieces, this was several playsets, and they rejected it all outright and barely sifted...
