TL;DR Don't buy Epson printers, Especially from Best Buy. So we bought an ET-3850 Printer. and it failed. Zero support from Best Buy. after 45 days of NO help from Epson, they agreed to send a replacement printer (when they finally agreed that the first one was broken)... The results of that 2nd printer attached in photo below. The black ink tank was not set up properly by the manufacturer, and all the black ink drained out of the bottom of the unit. Furniture, carpet, clothing all ruined. Both Best buy and Epson initially stonewalled all complaints. After a further 30 days, they finally agreed that something MIGHT have been wrong with the printer, and promised to refund my purchase price. I delayed posting this for a further 30 days. To date the promised refund has not been received.

Trey helped us on getting my tv and soundbar thru Credit. He’s nice and informative. While Brian assist us putting tv in my car but it didn’t fit so ended up being delivered (2 days) at 7:30 in the morning which is awesome!! Anyways hope Ill enjoy my first ever big TV. I suggest that they should add more ppl here. we had to go back twice to be assisted. And smiling is not bad to the customers šŸ™‚. Guys who delivered the tv are nice too.

The is 100% a greeter at the door. I've learned to just ask for what I need for the visit. I needed Podcast equipment. I needed, camera batteries, memory cards, charger cables, different types. The guy actually walked me to EVERY section and I proceeded to fill my arms with all the products as he led me to the next items. Superb customer service! This happens almost every time I go there. Love it! Keep up the good work Best Buy!

Here is why Best Buy lost my business.

The is in addition to multiple failed attempts by Geek Swuad personnel to properly set up and repair computers and TVs. When repairs were done, they sent them to the manufacturers across country in New Mexico, and California, leaving me without my computer for four weeks at a time.

On January 16, 2024, I called Best Buy to seek remote help under my total Tech membership so my printer could be paired with my laptop. After an hour on the phone, no one could correct the set up of my printer, despite geek squad personnel having access to my laptop remotely. I had to sit there and stare at the dialogue box of the remote session so I could respond to any questions presented to me there. After unsuccessfully trying, the associate OFFERED to have somebody come to my house and fix it. So, a geek squad member came and fixed the printer connection in five minutes. Up until then, I was NOT advised they now charge for home visits. Unlike my first Best Buy Total Tech membership, they now charge for home visits, which used to be covered at no additional charge.

Charges for home visits were not made clear to me when I bought my new laptop and re-established my new total Tech membership. The service that was provided at my house on January 17 was OFFERED TO ME by a Best Buy associate because HE could not properly connect my printer, despite having total control remotely over its operation. When the repair associate arrived later, he resolved the issue in five minutes. He could not explain why his colleagues could not successfully pair my printer connection remotely. THAT WAS WHEN I learned he had to collect a $79.95 payment for the visit. I did not challenge the payment at the time because it would not have been fair to him, or to Best Buy’s customers who may have been waiting for his other service calls that day. I told the repair associate I was paying the charge, but I would appeal it to Best Buy, and if need be, to my credit card company. On Saturday, February 10, 2024, I called to appeal the charge of $79.99 incurred on 2/17/24. After another 29 minutes wasted on the phone, the unhelpful man I spoke with denied the refund, claiming ā€œa service was rendered.ā€œ At that time, I advised I would appeal this charge with my credit card company. The ā€œservice renderedā€ was only necessitated due to the incompetence I endured over two hours on the phone with people who could not fix my printer connection remotely. Lastly, the ā€œservice renderedā€ did not fix the problem. Yesterday, I could not print the words that I have written here. My computer once again is not connected to the Internet, and I cannot figure out why.

Again, I did not request the home service. It was offered to me after two hours on the phone with several different people, with no resolution to my problem. The man who came to my house was able to quickly resolve the issue, and had no idea why his colleagues could not do the same. I only paid the bill for the service visit, of which I was previously unaware, because I did not want to put their repair associate in the middle of my billing issue or make other clients have to wait for his scheduled servicing.

I certainly expected Best Buy to honor what seemed like a straightforward request. As usual, it was too much to expect from them.

Therefore, I request a refund of this charge, and asked my credit card carrier to deny payment to Best Buy by the amount of this disputed charge.

Unfortunately, the credit card company looked at it as a case of ā€œhe said, she saidā€ and refused my appeal. That’s fine. At least I can accept the denial from them. I cannot accept the ridiculous excuses I received from Best Buy regarding their incompetence.

As a result, I do not plan to enter a Best Buy store ever again. I gave them too many chances with incorrect setups of laptops, TVs & sound bars and the mounting of installation hardware. It was nothing but disappointment. I’m sure my call file in your system can elaborate on our...

I used to love best buy. I still do in many ways do. I need to say that the world is changing and evolving tho and honestly best buy needs to evolve some. The prices are so high I remember justifying that with my wife because I could get it now !!! But with so many ways to buy products for so much cheaper with such fast delivery it's no longer a reason to pay 40% more. And I walked around my local millbury best buy a few weeks back and was just not impressed with the selections. What i mean is ya they have Sony tvs, and beats Bluetooth headphones. But where are all the new innovations the emerging new products from small companies that just do it better. That's what tech used to be all about and best buy for me and maybe I was fubar but it was where I got to go to see, feel and buy that new item. But the other day it was the same stuff I seen 2 years ago it felt very much like a let down. With so much emerging tech for phones, home automation, virtual reality, ai, they had little of anything "new" I was sad. I'm not saying best buy doesn't offer that huge name brand item you want but with the world being so connected and electronics going from idea to design to crafted and created so fast best buy is just behind the times waiting for a brand to become main stream. Like how in the world do they not sell 3d printers yet the market is 10 years old now and I can get fairly high quality yet smaller build area for under 500 bucks and for as little as 100 (not great unit very very entry level). Basically there are so many areas that best buy kinda fails. Price is high, new stuff to get hands on with not avail, the overall magic just wasn't there. I gave a 5 because the store itself is what you expect I guess. It was clean people were friendly and I could pay money for items. There seemed to be less employees probably because they have less foot traffic but that didn't stop them from asking me every 3 min if I wanted help. I'll be honest that's one thing I always hated. I swear they are required to ask it gets annoying I almost wish I could get a big button from the first person that ask me if I needed help so the entire store knew and would buzz off. But ya it...

This best buy was one of the worst I have been to in a long time. They had almost no selection not only the selection was limited but the quantity of the limited selection was also extremely limited. For instance I went to buy a camera lens cover. They only had two styles in stock for two sizes and of those two sizes they only had one in stock.

On my second visit I also went to buy a camera with a macro lens as well as some UV lens filters, camera bag, tripod and other accessories for starting a photography career/hobby. I went into this location expecting to spend over $2,000 I ended up leaving without spending any money. They had almost no camera selection and almost nothing that they had on display was in stock. Not only that but you can't get a good idea of the product because they are so locked down with security devices.

A specific example of this is a camera I was interested in I wanted to know if you could replace the camera lens and the only way that I could know for sure since this specific camera on display didn't even have a product label with specifications on it was to physically try and take it off or look for the release button etc etc. There was so many devices locking everything on including the lens so it couldn't be stolen that I couldn't confirm if this camera could accept other lenses of the style that I needed it to.

The first time that I went to this location was for Christmas and it was understandable that there was pretty much nothing on the shelves because Christmas is a busy time and can't keep everything in stock especially how close to Christmas it was. I ended up getting a pair of headphones but it took almost an hour to find somebody to unlock a case and when I finally found him it took 25 minutes for him to find the keys from another manager and he was basically complaining the whole time as if I was putting him out because he had other things he needed to do.

Next time I'm in the area I plan to update with pictures because 2 months after Christmas there is still barely anything on the shelves and the selection is still limited. If it's still like that when I return a third time it definitely...
