I visited Ulta Beauty on Presidents’ Day when the store was a bit busier than usual. As soon as I walked in, I went to the front and asked J’Lynn if an associate could help me refresh my makeup routine. That’s when I met Sonia, an absolute gem! With a bright smile and an enthusiastic, “I would love to!” she instantly made me feel welcomed.
Sonia went above and beyond, suggesting the perfect products to meet all my needs, and then some! She has an incredible eye for picking the right tones instantly, found multi-use products to fit my gift card budget, and even helped me select the perfect coverage to maintain my freckles. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was also incredibly attentive, seamlessly balancing assisting customers and helping at the front while making sure I never felt forgotten.
When I reached the register, I realized I had the wrong gift card and had to run back to my car. That’s when J’Lynn stepped in again, ensuring I wouldn’t lose track of the products I’d selected. She went above and beyond, helping me take pictures so I could easily find everything when I returned. Without her, I would have been too overwhelmed to search for everything again.
While waiting in line to check out, I overheard J’Lynn engaging with a young boy who thought Ulta was “just a girl store.” She kindly explained how Ulta offers men’s skincare, cologne, and even bath bombs, making sure he felt included. Her warmth and commitment to an inclusive shopping experience were truly heartwarming.
By the time I reached the front again, J’Lynn greeted me with the same light and positivity as if we were old friends. Between Sonia’s expertise and J’Lynn’s outstanding customer service, my shopping experience at this Ulta was unmatched.
I’ll definitely be coming back, especially to see these two incredible associates! Thank you, Sonia and J’Lynn, for making my visit...
Read moreWorst experience ever! I took a drive from Gardner to the Millbury Sephora and decided to stop in at Ulta also. They had to have had 4-5 employees walking the floor. I was walking around shopping for a while trying to decide on what to buy. I had lots of samples on my hands so I wanted to get it off. I went to one of their stations. I used the water and alcohol, but some of it wouldn’t come off. I decided to use the hand sanitizer which seemed to be a bit clogged because it didn’t press down smoothly. I pressed down on the hand sanitizer and it squirted directly into both of my eyes. Two customer saw what happened and escorted me to the bathroom so I could rinse out my eyes. They were burning, watering and my vision was blurry. I came out of the bathroom and saw an employee and asked to see the manager. She said she was the manager. I told her what had happened and she asked if I was ok. I told her no, my eyes burn because of your hand sanitizer. She then asked if there was anything she could do, I told her clean the hand sanitizers so they don’t clogged up. She didn’t seem to have any empathy, didn’t ask to see which hand sanitizer…nothing. She just went about her business like, “oh well, too bad”. I had to drive home from Millbury to Gardner after which was not a fun experience. It’s the next morning and my eyes are still burning. I’ll make an appointment with my optometrist to make sure my eyes are ok. I will NEVER shop at...
Read moreBrought my daughter there to do some shopping for her birthday, and we were trying to find a hair product for her so I said let’s go ask an employee. There were two employees in the hair salon area right near us so we walk over to them and one of the girls just gives me a look like I was disturbing her and rudely says “Yeah? What’s up?” If my daughter wasn’t with me, I would have called her out right there for her horrible customer service, but I wasn’t about to ruin my child’s special day. The other girl was nice and helped us find what we were looking for, so thank you to that employee for being kind and helpful. And the cashier, I wish I knew her name, was SO incredibly friendly and sweet… I worked in retail and other customer service positions for many years, well over 20 years actually. I would NEVER even think of speaking to a customer in such a rude and unprofessional way. I understand we all have bad days and all, and maybe she was having a bad day. Something tells me, though, that wasn’t the case and she’s just horrible at her job and maybe needs some more customer service training. Or better yet,...
