I went into Raymour and Flannigan last weekend during MA tax free weekend to order a twin bed and mattress for my daughter and a dresser for my room. I had been there twice in the past and had bought 4 other pieces of furniture for my home and had a great experience. Karen Leblanc the sales rep was wonderful, she was kind, attentive, and very helpful which was my reason for going back. When I arrived she was with another customer but I waited and researched on their computer what I wanted to order and let her know I was waiting. She got everything ordered for me got the Progressive Leasing App completed and approved and sent me to the office to finish my order. The office was very busy due to it being the tax free holiday but was willing to wait as the furniture I had in the past was of good quality, had payment options that worked for me, and the delivery people were professional and dependable. When it was my turn and I went to the agent at the window Angela, it all went down hill from there. She was overwhelmed and tired and mentioned 3x during small talk how she had been so busy she couldn't even get her cigarette break. I mentioned I was using Progressive Leasing and when it came time to make my deposit I asked to pay it and she said there wasn't a deposit as it was being financed, I said in the past I had always had a deposit and she said not this time, it was all set. So she gave me my documents and sent me on my way. The next day at 8pm my fiancee got a call from Raymour Flannigan that something happened because they had history of my order but not payment. First of all I changed my phone number to mine while I was there as my fiancee would not be home for delivery this time but it wasn't changed, and two I had asked twice about making a deposit and they said I didn't need one. She said to come back in on Monday or Tuesday to get the real contract executed and the deposit made. I didn't have time in my day to go back as I had to work and didn't want to go out of my way and my fiancee said to think about it. On Tuesday I called to see if the deposit could be waived due to their mistake and she said no they needed me to come in and pay the deposit to execute the contract so I decided to cancel the order and go somewhere else to order the furniture on the weekend when I had the time to. I went to Jordan's in Natick found better quality furniture, was able to use the Progressive Leasing, and the office staff was much more knowledgeable. When I mentioned I had ordered the furniture the weekend before at Raymour Flannigan and they said that I would have to pay tax because I was using the leasing option and the rest of the nightmare experience, they said that wasn't true, that Progressive Leasing had to honor the tax free weekend and I was the 3rd person in there that had ordered from Raymour and Flannigan the previous weekend and had an issue. I will at this point never go back to Raymour and Flannigan again due to this issue eventhough the sales Karen was a sweetheart but the inconvenience was a joke. When I was leaving I remember saying how they were great and was so happy to go back a third time for my furniture purchase and Angela said 3x well leave a google review/yelp review. Well here is your...
Read moreI would like to say that Linda S is an amazing salesperson and made the process of purchasing and completing the set we had from years ago easy. We were grateful for that. The issue was in the delivery and communication from the customer service desk and lack of response from our follow ups. We had to have our products delivered three times due to damage to the furniture we ordered. This was a major inconvenience as we had to be available during a window of time as we paid for delivery. I also was displeased that some of the damage was from the manufacturer not just scratch and dent damage although there was plenty of that. Our nightstand was missing the colored stain on the top corner during one delivery. They did nothing to help the customer even though I asked. We were living off the floor for over a week. Added stress on top of military orders, drill and deployment prep we didnt need. I even offered to keep the defective chest and nightstand the second delivery if they wanted to discount it for us and they stated they could only take off a minuscule amount that wasn't worth it for the almost $900 we paid for two peices. I asked if the manager was made aware of this ongoing issue and they said yes and basically that they weren't going to offer or work with us. After complaining I was offered a $50 gift card "for a lamp" which has never come via mail or email despite my reaching out about it since 10/10. After this painful process, I would not recommend buying furniture here again. The headache wasnt worth it and there are a lot of places around here to choose from despite Rotmans not being one any longer. Update: I emailed the responded comment from the store on 11/2. No response in over a month. This is the quality I’m taking about that makes people not want to recommend or rebuy here. I will be talking my business to Harte’s Home when they open (former rotmans...
Read moreWORST experience. This is not the first time we've bought furniture from Raymour & Flanigan but I can guarantee it will be the last. This time we ordered a living room set & dining room set. It was delivered 2 weeks ago, and the delivery team incorrectly set up our sectional that had one piece damaged and another that doesn't recline. I was told by the delivery men that they could send another team out to fix it, and I proactively called that day to get things set up. Nobody followed up with me, regardless of the defects not being my fault. I again called, and confirmed twice that the delivery team would be able to come out today to fix it or replace. Again no follow up. I never received a confirmation email or a call to inform of timeframe, so I called this morning to get an update. Of course I didn't get a call back. I called again a few hours later and was told by the customer service manager that they "dropped the ball" and that the email was set up but that they just missed it even though it was confirmed twice over the phone. She said she had "no words" and didn't know what to say. I feel extremely upset that after spending over $8,000, we've now been brushed to the side multiple times with no follow, no proactivity, no care at all. It just is bad customer service and comes off as poor company culture; once they have their money, they don't care about making sure the customer is satisfied. Our sales representative was fantastic and spent a lot of time with us to ensure we found the perfect pieces, but everyone else we've dealt with after that point and everything after swiping our credit card at the service desk has been a really poor experience and not a good lasting impression. I would not recommend buying furniture from this company as, if anything doesn't go as planned, I can't confidently say that they will handle the situation with...
