I usually make my purchases online. I needed to return and exchange some of the items from my last order, and some coupons I had received in the mail the same day I had placed an order. I went to the store yesterday with my 9-year-old son. I approached the registers in the back of the store and the lady who was there (before I could say anything) without politely greeting us said "If you have something just go to the register at the front" in a very abrupt tone. I was shocked! VS is not cheap if we compare it to other lingerie sellers. You will spend no less than $50 on a bra. You would expect this form of approach or no approach at all at a different store. My son and I walked over to the front register, I explained to the other lady there that I needed to return some items that did not fit me well and to purchase some other items using the coupons. She had a very bad attitude as well. She told me "Coupons won't work on your transaction" in a rude tone without trying them first or explaining why. When I asked "Really? Would you tell me why these wouldn't work please?" She seemed annoyed and rushed and said "Agh! Well all I can do is scan them and check", and guess what? They worked! I always shop online, I knew they would work. I get them all the time since I have the VS credit card. The customer behind us was also a mom (Caucasian woman) with a baby on a stroller, and to my surprise she was greeted with a big smile, the baby was greeted, and lots of compliments were shared, chit-chat and she (cashier) was the friendliest person in the world. It's hard not to think that my son and I were discriminated because we're Hispanic. I take this experience as a teaching experience for my child. He asked many questions and I'm glad he did. We have friends and family from so many different countries and races. People like those ladies lack so much, specially respect for others. I had the worst experience yesterday at the Clackamas VS. All the ladies seemed to be in a very bad mood and very unprofessional. I purchased additional items and ended up spending more than I had planned to. I love VS but their staff needs to be trained to treat ALL customers in a respectful, friendly and kind manner. My son was shocked to see the way they treated us and told me "Mom why do they seem upset?" even my 9-year-old felt mistreated by those ladies. I hope someone does...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello,
Iād like to share a concern about a recent visit I made to Victoria's Secret at Clackamas Town Center.
I went in to purchase a small paper bag, which I understand is usually available for 5 cents with a purchase. I had recently placed several online orders, and I simply wanted a bag so I could nicely gift those items to a friend.
Unfortunately, the store associates told me they couldnāt sell me the bag unless I bought something in-store. As a result, I purchased an item I didnāt really need, just to get the bag. Later, when I realized I didnāt want to keep the item, I tried to return it, but was told I couldnāt do so unless I returned the 5-cent bag as well.
I felt quite disappointed by the whole experience. These little bags are usually thrown away once people get home ā I wasnāt asking for anything unreasonable. Iām also concerned that the way I was treated may have had something to do with the way I speak, my accent, or where Iām from. I truly hope thatās not the case, but the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable.
Iād really appreciate it if someone could take a look at this situation and let me know what happened. Iāve always liked Victoriaās Secret, and I hope to continue being a happy customer.
Thank you for your time and...

One cashier was busy trying to get a credit card approved and the other didn't know how to return an item, so it was S_L_O_W. 3 or more employees on the floor not assisting customers, one of which was a manager. I asked a sales person passing by if there could be another cashier (by this time 2 more people behind me, no movement at the counter, so 6 customers waiting). She went over to the manager who looked over, saw the line and said "no, they can handle it" and turned back to the associate that she was chatting with. I waited 20 minutes, the cashier was lovely but working at a frenzied pace, trying to help the other cashier while also cashing out her own customers. When I spoke with the manager she was not apologetic at all, defended her decision not to have anyone speed up check out (she could have simple come over herself and checked a few customers out to get the line down). I am not surprised that VS keeps closing stores with this kind of attitude from the manager. Customer service doesn't...
