Participating in events at Mindekirken has been a transformative experience. Every Tuesday the church hosts a lunch followed by a presentation on a variety of topics ranging from altar art, to the War in Ukraine, to storytelling, to music by Grieg, to genealogy, to sculpture, to the visit in 2022 by Queen Sonja. Several years ago I began taking Norwegian language classes at Mindekirken in preparation for a visit to Norway. This was soon followed by attending worship services, musical performances and various food events. So much history in this beautiful place. Pastor Kristin Sundt has such a beautiful connection with God and she really makes each message feel personal to her parishioners whether they are lifelong members of the church or just visiting. I love her sermons and the music is always so inspiring...
