My main diamond (1-1/2 C marquis) had fallen out of the head. I took it to J.R .Fox to have it repaired. They said they could do it and secure some looser diamonds on the band side. I assumed they would repair my original head, never was I advised that they would be replacing the head.
The new head (that Kyle stated he chose) was half the height of the original head. I talked to Kyle and he offered to replace the head but stated it was measured in mm and it was difficult to measure the old against the new. I stated “but it’s measurable”? I asked why if he chose another head, why wasn’t I consulted? I was the one paying for it and I would have NEVER wanted another head that was ½ the height
I asked why I should trust them with my ring again. Kyle then stated that they could “put the old head back on”, I asked him if that made any sense since the diamond fell out of the old head. I really couldn’t believe he would even suggest that. I walked out stating that I would be calling my credit card company to dispute the charge and I told Kyle that if he could “think” of any other options, he had my number. I just paid over $1,000.00 to get my ring REPAIRED, NOT ALTERED!!! I said that if the head was ½ the height of the original head that they SHOULD have called me to explain and I would have happily come in to pick out my own head, it WASN’T THEIR DECISION, it was MINE! —common sense with regards to customer service. I left the establishment.
I went back 5 mins later and told Kyle I would like to compare my original head with the one HE placed on the ring. Kyle asked me to step into one of the rooms. Kyle then asked if I was going to “take off with the original head”? I asked him if he was kidding—he said no. How insulting and unprofessional, so now I’m being looked at as a possible thief?? I should have had the conversation in the open, then there would have been witnesses to anything Kyle had said. Kyle should respect everyone who enters the establishment. We own 2 homes on the lake, 6 cars, including Corvettes and I had a full band diamond platinum on my right hand and a Rolex on my left wrist—pay attention Kyle, read your customers! I repeated that he wanted to take the old head and put it back on the ring, I asked him what kind of jeweler he was, his reply “a good one”, and then added “I don’t get talked to that way”. HOW ARROGANT. Beware of J.R. Fox, Kyle is arrogant and insults customers. I would never trust them to any of my jewelry pieces. Remember Kyle, you never have a second chance to make a...
Read moreI will never do business with Fox Jeweler's again. I have never been treated so rudely by anyone in my life. I took a clock from my great grandfather into be fixed at the store on Miami and Ireland since I knew nothing about clocks. I talked with the owner when I brought it in and told her what I wanted done and that all the pieces in the envelope are part of the clock. After calling the store 3 times and never getting a call be from the owner I told whom ever it was I talking to make sure they know the pieces that are in the envelope belonged to the clock. After getting the clock back and seeing that they did not fix it and realized that they cut the pendulum to make it hang on a piece, my wife and I went back to the store and talked with the owner. I was told I am a liar, that I told them to do whatever it took to get it on and because she did not like my attitude I needed to get the HELL out of the store. I have known this owner for over 40 years. Both my wife and I could not believe how we got treated. I told the owner that I wanted to get the piece that was not put on the clock back, she said she would do what she could to find that piece. About 5 minuets later I get a phone call from her saying she found the piece in the envelope and to come and get it. By her calling me it proves that the piece that the pendulum hung on was never sent with the clock to get fixed. I feel she realized that she made a mistake and had to cover her bases by telling my wife and I to get the Hell out of her store. Just to let Fox Jewelers know that when I got home and I had all the pieces it took me about 3 minuets to solder the pendulum back together where you cut it and put the piece back on for the pendulum the clocks...
Read moreOn Friday night I accidently broke the pendant holder on my necklace. I love my jewelry so I was insistent on getting it fixed as soon as possible. I called J.R.Fox Jewelers that following Saturday morning and spoke with a lady named Angela. Angela informed me that depending on the severity of the pendant holder, it was possible that they could fix it that day. Once I arrived and after greeting everyone, I asked one of the employees if Angela was available. She politely asked me to give her a second and she'd be right back...unfortunately I didn't have a chance to get her name. When Angela came out she greeted me with a smile, in a professional manner, and seemed very interested in helping me. I could tell she was extremely confident when it came to the quality of her work. My wait time was about 10mins, give or take a few. I must say, I was absolutely impressed! Thanks Angela! Thanks...
