Taqueria El Rey — Restaurant in Monroe

Horrible experience! Ordered food through Door Dash and they forgot our Tostada, upon calling they requested we come back to get it in person.

After Arriving at the store in person, I said again what my item was and they said it would be right out. After 5 minutes of waiting they bring out a back and tell me have a nice day, only upon getting back to my house I realized they had just given be a platter of beans. Not the item I ordered and they forgot, just a box of Beans.

And upon eating the food it was Mediocre at best. Truly Disappointing, there are so many better Mexican joints in town which you should go to...

I gave this place 3 chances because we all have off days 2 times my tacos were so greasy i couldnt eat them. The grease was so bad thats all i tasted. Then for my final attempt i ordered a quesadilla with order they forgot it. So i called and asked if they could refund me and she refused she said i can only come pick up a new one right then or another time. When i asked to speak to.the manager she refused. I said i wouldnt be back and she said thats ok. So keep in mind we went 3 times in a row on fridays spending 50 to 60 dollars and thats how i was treated. They stole my money....

I visited this place today and I would like to warn everyone, DO NOT Eat at Taqueria El Rey. I ordered the Carne Asada plate and received shoe leather for meat, plus had to wait 15 minutes, I guess they needed to overcook it longer. Meanwhile as I'm waiting i noticed that all the Mexicans pulling up are going into the Asian restaurant, nobody came into Tequeria El Ray. I tipped them 4.90 my change. I guess with everyone out of work and locked down. They don't appreciate someone taking what little they have and trusting them to do the...
