Grainger Industrial Supply — Local services in Mount Laurel Township

Unlike other suppliers they sell parts to DIY enthusiasts like myself. I picked up parts immediately by curbside pickup (covid) from the Mt. Laurel location without any problems. They cost literally HALF of what Lowes charges and Lowes was going to ship the parts from TEXAS for some reason taking over a week to get to me. Each time I called in the process of repairing my AC, every person I talked to was very knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me not only find the right fan motor, but checked its compatibility with the other existing parts and probably saved me from shortening the life of my new motor. On the third call I was actually emailed a diagram to help talk me through making sure I was adding the 2nd capacitor correctly. After calling Grainger’s customer line in the morning and being told they had the bullet connectors and wiring needed for a job on a tractor trailer, we drove 35 min to pick up the material. The Mount Laurel store didn’t have anything we’d been promised. The staff was less then informed or educated about their inventory. Then, deciding to buy a new switch for an appliance, we were pleased to learn they had the exact switch. They brought it out, showed it to us, and then proceeded to advise us that they weren’t allowed to sell it to us. No, it wasn’t on hold. No, it wasn’t the last one (they had “plenty”). Unbelievably kind customer support. I appreciate all of her help. I would come back to grainger if their delivery times were accurate online. I ordered something 2/20, said it would be ready for pickup 2/22 at 1:00. Nothing all day yesterday. Called today, they said my order wasn’t even processed until 2/21 and won’t be here until tomorrow 2/24. That’s unacceptable. I’m trying to run a business.
