Had my highlights done here with Victoria. This was my second time having my hair colored but this time I wanted the highlights lighter. Actually I wanted it silver or grey highlights to camouflage my gray hairs. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she said she can do it. I came on time for my appointment. She had a customer before me who she tended to for 6hrs already. She did not took a break and right away catered to me. I was a little bit worried but hoped she will rest in between. She right away prepped the hair color for my hair since she already know what to color it with. As she was applying the hair color, I completely forgot that she did not cover my ears to protect them from the harsh chemicals from the hair color. As we all know, highlights for hairs is a very long process. Color application itself is lengthy and then you have to wait for another hour or two for reapplication of color and have to wait again. In between these times, I did not know that she accepted another person for a haircut. So I was there waiting for her to be done with her other customer while she chit-chat with him. It was ok since I know I have to wait for the color to work. When it was time for her to check my hair, she was still in the middle of her hair cutting the other guy's head. So she asked her other co worker to check on my hair and do the shampooing and rinsing. I seriously felt left out. I honestly don't mind this as long as I will have the result I wanted. Unfortunately nooo! I was very specific to have silver highlights or close to gray but I ended up having gold highlights. What's worse! My ears got blisters and were very swollen after 4hrs of treatment and not being covered. I was so upset. I was supposed to come back and complained about my ears but I figured I will just be wasting my time. I'll just make a lengthy review to warn people and be aware of this practice. Also to...
Read moreI recently moved to California and It was my first time at this salon and I liked my coloring experience. They are all very patient and friendly. I described the color I want and he started the process (double process with first bleaching then toning since my root is black). At the first attempt it was not what I wanted but we talked about it and he toned my hair again to the exact color I was looking for. However, it took a little bit more than my previous stylist, but he wrote down the color so next time they know exactly what I want from the start and it will be faster for root touch-ups (so smart). I payed $110 for the color (root and toning), hot-oil treatment and a little bit of trimming...
Read moreI went for just a haircut, but Tex convinced me to try a reverse highlight to get rid of some of the gray. At first I was hesitant because I do not like ammonia based dyes, but he says his wasn't and that it would not sting. Also reverse highlighting would not touch my scalp. So I decided to go for it. And I was very happy I did. The result looks very natural and my daughter says I look much younger! I am glad I trusted Tex with this job. Will definitely be...
