This is a new location of Von's and it's really convenient with plenty of parking. Most importantly though is they serve delicious Korean chicken and other dishes. We ordered a F2 and a F4 over the phone (there's online order too) and didn't realize how much food it actually was for just the two of us - LOL. The website does not have any indication of size of "small" or "large". One order of chicken was "drumsticks only" and it had 7 good size drumsticks. The other order was "drums and wings" which had 3 drumsticks+3 wings mid-section + 2 drumlettes. Each order also came with a small tub of coleslaw and pickled radish. This is a lot of chicken! Next time, we will probably order 1 small order of chicken and then another kind of dish to share for 2 people. The restaurant was clean and spacious with some tables and counter seating. The chicken was hot and fresh. We asked for sauce on the side instead of already tossed on the chicken as we were bringing the food home to eat and worried the chicken skin would get soggy from the sauce on the way home. The chicken was packaged well with ventilation to prevent condensation. It was a great experience and satisfied my KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) craving. The two guys that worked there were really nice and pleasant. Oh btw, there's a frequent buyer stamp card (location specific). why not...never refuse a deal đ. Great addition...

Craving Korean-style chicken but want something a little off the Bonchon-beaten path? Vons Chicken in Redwood City delivers crispy, juicy goodness with a slightly healthier twistâless fried, more oven-baked, but still high enough in cholesterol to make it feel worth every bite.
Their chicken is flavor-packed, with crowd favorites like soy garlic, spicy, and honey butter that coat each piece in pure satisfaction. Portions tend to run larger than Bonchonâs, especially on 10-piece orders and up, which helps justify the slightly higher price tag.
Now for the pro tip: parking is the real boss level here. If youâre thinking of sneaking into the Bank of America lot next door, donât. Thereâs an active security guard who patrols like itâs their full-time mission to catch you slipping. Best bet? Order ahead and swing by for pickupâsave yourself the ticket and the awkward eye contact.
Vons might not have the flashiest branding, but itâs a dependable go-to when you want bold Korean flavor without the Bonchon wait times. Just bring an appetite⌠and maybe a legal...
Read moreOrdered oven padak expecting to have a nice korean comfort food with chicken thigh/dark meat. It turned out to be made with white chicken meat. It was too stiff and dry. I explained and even brought it back to the location, but it seemed they donât quite listen to me and insisted that they donât use white meat and sometimes white meat can be part of chicken thigh⌠which I really doubtâŚ! I donât expect to get white meat when I pick a pack of thigh meat at the grocery store. Felt bad because it sounded like I am wrong. How on earth I would not know what kind of meat I am eating⌠See the picture and it is white meat⌠less moisture and too dry and stiff to eat. Not that great communication for customer feedback, but at least they substituted to a bone-in oven padak so leaving 3 stars⌠Not sure if I will come back, if I have to take the same risk again for just wanting some...
