Horrible customer service from the store manager. It was around mid December 2022 and I printed Christmas photo cards online and picked it up in the store. The picture color wasn’t as vivid as the digital copy I had upload online and I wanted my husband’s opinion on it so I paid for it and showed it to him at the car. He hated it and told me to just return it and go somewhere else to print it again.
I went back in the store and told the lady that my husband doesn’t like it and we would like to return it and she said “You looked at it before you paid for it so why didn’t you tell me that before” then I told her my husband didn’t like the quality and she said it was because of original photo quality when I uploaded online. Btw I took Christmas photos from Gilroy Garden and the quality of the digital print was great.
After I told her I would like to return it and said it is expensive because it cost $62.00 and we don’t like it. She replied with “So is our time” I was shocked and offended that she responded in such a rude way so I asked her “Are you going to refund me or not”. She said she will only do it this time and gave me a refund. I went on Walgreens website after I left and it clearly has a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy.
I went home and called the customer service line and the representative gave me a Ref. # for the complaint and told me a district manager will contact me in a few days. I waited and waited and no call at all. I decide to complain again on the Walgreens website and again I got a Ref. # and a member of management will contact me within two business days. Until this day I still haven’t got a call.
I went in to Walgreens last week and asked a lady to help me do a price check as she was stocking the shelves and as she was scanning the price, I realized she was the same lady at the photo department that day that was helping me with the horrible customer service, I glanced at her name tag and realized she was a store manager there. No wonder I did not get a call and my complaint didn’t matter because she was a store manager. Just because she is a store manager doesn’t give her the right to be so rude to the customer. If you’re interested what happened to me, there is the details: I went to this store at midnight on Friday. I asked cashier could he help me do prices match Walgreens online prices casually. Actually, I was going to buy it whether he was going to help me or not because two paper coupons I had to use on that day. Guess what, he suddenly got angry and accused me that he would lose his job because of me.
Me: ??????
So I wanted to explain to him I wasn’t making that up by showing him my phone about Walgreens policy. And he refused to look at it and said everything from my phone is fake, and everything coming out of me is fake. It’s his exact words, I swear.
Imagine, you have to stand there and listen to his accusations at 2am. And he kept saying something about how he was speaking standard English. I thought it was weird at that time, but right now I realized maybe he just mocked my verbal skill.
Horrible experience. Don’t understand why he got so angry at me. I believe I asked him very politely. I don’t know what triggers him.
Here are the prices I remembered in store and online, and compared to Amazon prices. After that, I will definitely try to buy everything on Amazon.
