Most uncomfortable experience as a first time shopper. I was sent here because I was told about the great fragrance selection. And the selection is amazing. I received my last fragrance here as a Christmas gift last year. Upon entering was fine, i had a helpful younger lady, then there was the older lady with the dark hair. She stared and stood there as if she was store security. The younger lady and I were talking and she was explaining some things to me as I was telling her what I liked. Older lady, asked if I was ready to buy something. I told her to hold on, as I was checking out a number of items to see what I actually liked. She stood there in close proximity of me, staring the ENTIRE time as if I was about to run out the door with the entire countertop of fragrances. I could touch her if I wanted to. She moves behind the counter and the younger lady asked her if she was getting something for me she said “no I’m just waiting until she gets what she needs”…minutes go by and as i’m standing there she types on her phone, taps the younger lady and says “I like your jacket” and turns her phone to her so she can read what she typed. The younger girl nods her head, and at that moment I walked out . The older lady wasn’t helpful she was just standing there, as there were other customers in the store she could have been helping. If I’ve never felt stereotyped a day in my life, today was the day. And from these reviews she seems to have a reputation. Treat ALL your customers the SAME. Because if things would have escalated in that store and became confrontational because of this older lady, I’m sure she would have played victim. Do better. I have always been greeted at the door, introduced to everyone I didn't know and treated with the utmost respect. I find the ladies working there to be very knowledgeable and most accommodating. I have visited there on many occasion and have never seen anyone treated disrespectfully. Never! I am from out of town and sometimes i just run down to Nashville to pick up gardening supplies etc. I am not always dressed appropriately, they have never treated me any differently.
