I was excited to see a RMCF store on a recent visit to Nashville, as I hadn’t been to one in a few years. I stopped in to get some of my favorites. The selection was limited when it came to dark chocolate options, so that should have been my first clue to upcoming disappointment. I ordered over $30 worth, as I wanted to gift some to a friend. My purchase consisted of their signature milk chocolate mint bars (no dark available), orange crème’s, a truffle, chocolate raspberry sticks and chocolate orange sticks. I saved them till I got home, over 2 hours away, and tried a mint bars, expecting a slight ‘crunchy’ break from well tempered chocolate with a creamy, minty filling. The entire bar was hard to bite into and tasted old and stale. I tried an orange crème, and it had the expected outer shell snap, but the inside was a sickening sweet, heavy, artificial flavor that left a nasty coating in my mouth. I tried a bite of each of the jelly sticks and the chocolate tasted old and the same, sickening artificial flavor was in both. RMCF used to have a reputation for amazing, American made chocolates, using fresh, high quality ingredients. This is no longer the case. Hershey’s chocolate from the grocery store is better quality and flavor. I am so upset I spent the amount of money I did on a product that is inedible and will be thrown away. See’s chocolates will be getting my future business, as their quality has not suffered over the last few years. I have no problem paying for quality, and RMCF completely...
Read moreSo the chocolate itself is good, but the actual product tastes pretty old like it's been sitting out for quite a while. The chocolate Oreos were very hard to bite. The chocolate dipped twinkie was at least a week old. I'm not too surprised they never had a line out the door. Just disappointed. Not for deaf or HOH people because you'll constantly have to ask the woman to repeat herself. The mall is very loud. But good service but I'm glad an adult was in the store behind the counter because I don't think the group of giggling girls would have...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place for the first time today. My husband and I stopped in from out of town so I can try a caramel apple, which I've never tried in my life. As we were looking to see which flavors we wanted, and checking out the truffles as well, one of the older women at the glass counter display was really pushy and rude about asking if we've decided. It was so off putting that we looked at each other with a mutual understanding of wanting to leave. It was so incredibly disappointing as a first time visitor...
