Just to start out, it was more negative than anything else :(. When we first walked in, we attempted to ask the bar tender where to go to get seated.. unfortunately, we were ignored. We found out later (by ourselves, no assistance from staff) where to go to get seated. It took roughly 20 ish minutes for them to greet us. They asked what drinks and food we wanted, and we ordered two drinks, one appetizer, and three plates of food. We were very excited to try our new experience. Now I know that there's a lot of ground to cover, but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our appetizer was given to us 35-40 minutes into being seated, and 15-20 minutes after our drinks were delivered to our table. When we first received the appetizer, the chips were cold and the honey mustard we asked for wasn't actually honey mustard, it was actually the jalapeno sauce. It took 45 minutes after the appetizer, and well over an hour since we were seated to get our actual food. It was such a long wait that my mother reported to me that I fell asleep on her shoulder and started snoring 😭. To put it vaguely, we got a BBQ plate, a Fish N Chips plate, and something that started with the word "ultimate." The food overall was mediocre and very expensive. They do not warn you at the front door, but inside there's a thunderstorm scene. Lights flash and loud thunder noises are heard. In my opinion, I thought that part was good, but if you are sensitive to either flashing lights or thunder sounds please do not go to this cafe. We payed about $20 for each plate, including the appetizer. The ending price was around $100 when the food quality and taste wasn't worth that much money. Please remember that this review was two peoples opinion, not a handful. This was just personally me and my mothers experience in the cafe, so please refrain from judging the cafe based on this one review. Also keep in mind that I'm a picky eater.. so the way that the food tasted to me might taste better to others. And lastly, I hope whoever sees this has a wonderful day and a reminder that you are...
Read moreOur visit to the Rainforest Cafe was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the themed décor that recreates a tropical rainforest, with lush plants, animal sounds, and a vibrant atmosphere that made us feel like we were in the heart of nature. It's a perfect place for families, but also has a fun vibe for couples and groups of friends.
The service was friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including sandwiches, burgers, steaks, fish, quesadillas, tacos, and a special kids’ menu.
As for the food, I ordered a top sirloin that was cooked perfectly. The meat was tender and juicy, and it came with mashed potatoes and vegetables, which made the dish even more delicious. My husband had the Amazon fajitas, which, although tasty, were a bit dry and lacked some sauces to add more flavor. My mother-in-law had the salmon, which was very well-prepared and cooked to perfection.
The kids ordered burgers, mac and cheese, and quesadillas. All the dishes were quite good, and they really enjoyed them. The kids’ drinks were served in cups with lights at the base, which they found very fun and added a special touch to the experience. The adults ordered cocktails, which were delicious and well-prepared. We also ordered a pasta with chicken, which was quite large and enough to share, along with other dishes that were equally satisfying.
The food overall was tasty, and the portion sizes were reasonable. While they weren’t huge, they were filling enough to leave us satisfied at the end of the meal.
The atmosphere is lively, with special effects and jungle sounds that bring the place to life. Although it can get a bit loud, it doesn’t detract from the experience. On the contrary, it makes it even more fun, especially when the animatronic animals "come to life." This is especially entertaining for the kids.
As you enter, there’s also a store with souvenirs and keepsakes, adding to the restaurant's...
Read moreThis seems like a more adult geared Chuck E. Cheese complete with animatronics. This place is huge which might be part of the problem. Some of the staff seemed overwhelmed. We were seated for nearly 20 minutes before our server greeted us and offered us a drink. My wife and I really liked our server. She was really nice. First time visit so we went all in and got a couple of the light up cups. I ordered a Blood orange lemonade, and my wife had the watermelon lemonade. Not bad but it's 14 dollars which is mostly due to the fancy cup with a light up logo on the bottom.
My lemonade was gone pretty quickly but our server didn't come back for a while. My wife offered up her beverage. I took a drink and got a mouth full of watermelon syrup. They just take Minute Maid Lemonade and add flavored syrup to it. Lots of restaurants do this, but if you don't mix it well, you're sucking syrup.
Server returns. Apparently, my lemonade comes with 1 free refill. We got those and ordered the Korean chicken wraps to start. Not bad. The sauce has a nice flavor. Python chicken pasta and Mojo bones for our entrees. Pasta is a bit bland. Ribs looked stunning, but they were slightly overcooked. A bit mushy when you bite them, but the sauce was good. The fries they served were really good. Slaw was just okay.
2 drinks, an appetizer, and 2 entrees ran us 100 dollars before the tip. We would get better service and cheaper, comparable food at Chili's. It's fun for an experience, and kids were really enjoying the gift shop and the thunderstorms and animals. I loved the aquariums. The staff had 4 separate birthday celebrations while we were there. So maybe visit on a special occasion and bring your kids. Restrooms were clean.
It's okay, but not a place I'd regularly dine. If you're going to charge fine dining prices, the service definitely needs to be...
